having just purchased this pedal a few days ago, i can say this may be one of the best pedal demos of all time. he really hits on everything it can do, from the mild to that absolutely outrageous oscillating stuff. all while staying musical and sounding sick! and its very easy to achieve every single sound he showing off. well done josh and MXR!
I bought this pedal for bass to replace a full size Phase 90 to save some space. To get the sound I want I need sort of a "left leaning grumpy face" EQ pedal setting. This gives a tad more lower mids than a Phase 90 and produces EXACTLY the sound I want. It's a keeper.
I find this to be the best review/demonstration of this pedal. I own it as well as the Phase 95 and I actually prefer this one. However, I am having issues using it with my DC Brick and am very disappointed in Jim Dunlop support as I have called twice, sent two emails, and even had Sweetwater contact them and they haven't responded at all in over two weeks. I have this idea that there is a known issue with this pedal and they simply don't want to address it, which is very sad because every pedal I own is MXR. Shame on you MXR.
I despise this "tell a story" strain of marketing. There's no usable information for me here; I can't see what settings are being used nor can I hear what the pedal is doing. Nothing in this video makes me want to buy this pedal. A guy in his bedroom with one cam on the bass and another on what knobs are being twiddled is better than this.
