Or get an extension strap just like what Krist Novoselic did in the 1991 Paramount theater Nirvana concert if you want it extra low. One strap is not enough to keep it low enough. Extra low, extra gain, extra awesome. 90s punk rocker. Fuck yeah.
Legend has it little kids jokes aren’t as funny as they think they are 10 years later . You’ll get there kiddo . Google is a fun trick . But there is a reason that’s a thing . But we can’t rush you into all that Z baby steps kiddo . Baby steps . 🤫
Haters gonna hate! The wrong guitar and the wrong amp and not Billie Joe's fingers, and the pedal still nails it. I think showing that the pedal will work through a rig that isn't Billie Joe's is a testament to how good this thing is and how much work MXR put into it. Nailed it!
Doesn't matter. Even my sausage fingered brick hands have their own sound. Billie may not have Petrucci noodling skills, but at least he can write music people enjoy.
@kiki the gerbil Laugh if you like, but it's NOT easy to play pop punk and sound like a pro. It's really not. It's easy to play it, but it's not easy to sound great doing it.
@kiki the gerbil If you're going to leave so many comments on the internet being negative, can you at least take the time to learn basic punctuation first? Your input will be less of a headache to read if you do so.
@kiki the gerbil I never said playing "Basket Case" was as hard as playing "Classical Gas"; I said some persons are great at it, and some are meh. And you're exactly the sort of person who's in the latter category--I can tell. But your ear is so bad (or you're so lacking in self honesty, or you have such contempt for the music) that you haven't noticed.
@Evan Weiss whoa Evan, when did you start working at Reverb? You killed it! My shitty emo band opened for IIOI like ten yrs ago at my school, love you man
I really love what you guys have done with this review since normally pedal reviewers do not have so much time to spend on one single setting. Great playing and a great way to show what this pedal can do.
I’m proud of you guys for stepping up your mixing game. Newer videos (since Andy joined) sound a lot better. I’m glad he brought some video making tips for you all
I actually like the tone from the pedal and I understand the recording process was a lot different 25 years ago. So getting a ballpark comparison is more than enough for me. Great job folks and I'm enjoying my pedal as well.
Spot on. Love a good Marshall-in-a-box type pedal, will definitely be adding this one to my collection sometime. also, yall nailed that snare sound. great job!!!
@@MikeAndersonvinyloldies Yeah, but they totally made it so you could barely hear it unless it was the only thing playing. They made it "And Justice for All" with Jason Newsted. Couldn't tell if the bass was there or not.
...What on earth are you listening to this on? I tried all my 3 setups and the bass absolutely does the heavy lifting here. The pedal matches that perfectly. Bass is loud as fuck. There might be something wrong with your ears, but you're probably just on your phone or something.
You should check out all of the bands Evan has been in. Into It. Over It, Pet Symmetry, Stay Ahead of the Whether, Their / They're / There, literally one of the most gifted musicians I've ever seen.
To me it sounds like Dookie except with a layer of that slight crappiness you inevitably get with distortion pedals. You may be able to sort it out with EQ.
I think the P90 doesn't have the same gain as the Duncans did in the BJA guitar but it's still a very legit sound of course. I would love this pedal half as a novelty / collector piece and the punk sound
John Craig Beach And what if this was the second to last video I watch on the pedal? Just kidding! I appreciate you bringing to light that I should have just said ultimate
“I’ve put together a little band here with my friends Maggie and Adam” - Maggie and Adam end up being 1000x better and don’t miss a single note and sound exactly like Mike and Tre.
