Unlocking it would help ...and if you balance to the brick you would see better performance from the whites elliptical..I was simply trying to show how the coil when set to same G.b numbers would help in severe soil.. One thing to remember though in rapidly changing ground targets could get lost with tracking on the same as being off...The coils will help take care of the fringe area's...Where the ground bal. cant track in and out quick enough on first pass.
Hey Critter Good video.. One thing to remember is all bricks are not created equal..I have some bricks that seem mineralized but ai can see through 3or 4 of them...the one I use for most of my testing is out of an 1840's site..Not sure what it is made from but it's very severe..but minelabs see through it pretty easily ...But alot of vlf's suffer through it unless the right coil is found...
I just ordered an MXT pro. Going to mostly beach area but want another coil for parks. Was going to get the Eclipse DD 6x10 but after seeing this video and your comment I'm thinking of the 6x8 sef. where did you get it and does it matter that it's not a white's coil on a white's machine? I"m new so I don't know? Please advise. Thanks.
hi just bought 4x6.wish id watch your vid first.i would have gone for the sef.i do have the 6x10 dd good coil but the sef out shine it no problem.maybe ill sell em both and get the sef.gl hh
Could this be down to the MXT though? I wonder what the elliptical coil would be like on the DFX with, say, its mixed mode on. I think it may register the coin under the red brick at least in that mode. Different detector test I know but worth thinking about.
I am an older model MXT user and am curious about this. On my MXT I have a lock function on the ground balance, your MXT seems to have "Ground Grab" which would be a similiar function, correct? Would unlocking the ground balance/"Ground Grab" enable the machine to trac like on the older models, make any difference in this test?
I'm not trying to be funny but I don't know why you are using it? There must be different minerals in different bricks surely! I understand the principal but don't think it's relevant as the brick you have would maybe come from a particular part of clay pit! No two bricks would ring up the same or would they? If, as you have demonstrated, targets are hidden under clay bricks, then I guess we need to be digging everything if we don't have the SEF coil? Is that what you are trying to get across?
yeah,,used the 12x10 sef detech coil for 5 years now ,,its so far ahead of the whites stock it makes them look rubbish,,,wouldnt have one given,,,your just wastin your time and the stuff your gonna miss is not worth thinkin about,,,,,,rgds
