I got here on Sep 11th so humidity has not been bad to me yet but coming from such a dry place like ATX I am absolutely loving the more tropical humid environment because my skin and hair responds better to this than dry air. Its actually so good for skin and hair. But lets see how I feel in the summer time 🥵

You nailed it! I was born in Chicago. When we moved to PR for a while it was way more "social". Come to Florida over 23 years now and it was night and day. People in Florida and maybe because of the melting pot it is. People are dry! It took me some time to adjust.

I live in Texas and feel the same way. Originally from Brooklyn moved to California and know what it’s like to feel on guard towards strangers. Texas, specifically Dallas has the kindest, most chivalrous people in the country. So happy and privileged to live in Texas. Also I love the true botanicals skin tint, i have it in shade 20 and have been using it for a few months. There’s not a lot of videos on it but it’s great

Thanks for watching! I'll explain in the upcoming vlog but yes we have moved quite a bit but I think it also seems more constant to the outsider watching as time goes by much faster on the internet. I'll explain more in my vlog coming soon but we lived in NYC all our life and moved for the first time in 2014 to LA because we had the opportunity to experience it and be in a calmer/better environment for our son who was recently diagnosed with autism at the time. We did not like LA (but was a good experience we needed) and moved back to NY (2015) within a year (but never back to NYC) and stood in NY living upstate for 4 years (2015 - 2018) in 2018 I had my daughter and we wanted a home birth and home birth laws for VBAC patients like myself is something we had to be mindful with where we can live that the law permits me to have the birth I desire for my child. After giving birth we moved to NJ because home school laws are better there and it allowed us to downsize to an apt and save money for for 2 years for the BIG move we've been planning to TX because we care about homeschool laws, parental freedom and medical freedom so ultimately wanted to find the most ideal place where we can stay put for good. TX was it. When we move its always to a better state that allows us to live our lifestyle. That's why we moved to Texas at the start of the pandemic in 2020. Texas was always the goal but took time and effort and money to get there and TX rights are the best. We chose Austin TX because it's diverse and easier to adapt to coming from NY. We thought we'd be in ATX forever honestly, for good and even began looking at property to own there but with the pandemic my job wasn't doing well anymore and finances declined for us and things got harder in every way. My husband had to go back to work and him going back to work meant the possibility of relocating to a place he can work in his field in and his job source is in NY/Miami area so given that choice we of course had to pick FL because the freedom laws here are better for us as a family and NY is not an option for the better outcome of our kids so now that we're here in FL we're better in finances and still in a state that allows our lifestyle. Hope that makes sense. Like I said in this video, I don't like moving. We don't move for fun, but when necessary as a family. 🤍 Thanks for the love!

I moved with my family from California to south Florida in 2020 and then in 2022 we moved to Dallas and now after 6 months in Dallas we are moving back to south Florida. Hi, not all of Florida is the same. People in South Florida speak more Spanish and are less friendly. But the people in Northern Florida are totally the opposite. In Florida, people are really friendly and are always willing to help. Spanish is not spoken much in North Florida either.

Yes Coconut Cove is so good! My husband works in the Miami area and we currently live near Miami but not in Miami. Its really hard these days to find an affordable place in miami that's also family friendly but we are looking for places closer to Miami because my husband needs to be closer to work. Thank you for watching! The honest beauty mascara is absolutely my favorite and never fails me but it could be a hit or miss for others depending on your prior experiences with mascaras. For me it was so hard to find a clean mascara that enhanced my lashes visibly and didn’t flake. That’s why i keep using the honest beauty one and when I try other clean mascaras none compare to the honest one for me. My 2nd fav would be from Ilia (lengthening mascara) none of these are waterproof so some people don’t do well with mascaras that aren’t waterproof but it’s never been an issue for me.

Hola Alba! I'm from NY, grew up in FL and I've been in TX for 13 years now. You know why NY and FL people are so similar? Because most people in FL are from NY or their family originated from there. All my neighbors in FL were from NY or NJ. Most of my family moved from NY to FL. Lol I agree though, TX is a lot more welcoming.

Yes when we moved from the tristate to FL it was different that my neighbors are so friendly . I've began to be so friendly as well. Maybe it's where you live in FL that's not so friendly . You're in a major city . Miami right ? It's not nice there.

For sure it isn’t. I’m just sharing my experience in comparison to where I just came from. But my aunt and godmother who have lived here 20 years now (in two different areas and different area from mine) said the same thing. They said it wasn’t always this way but it’s now a new norm in major city parts of Florida. It’s more friendly in country sides which is commonly expected.
