I've just started learning forex trading and opened a demo account. I saw an uptrend, went long after a pullback. Then it continued up. My instinct told me why not move my SL up and follow the trend. And it continued further up and how I wished it was a live account. After watching this video, it confirms my first instinct was right and gave me the assurance with hope to get more of this in my live account.

Given the high rate of scammers all over youtube it is important these guidelines are circulated so every trader can be safe out here, first thing first if you find yourself needing a mentor make sure the said mentor is registered, he has to be a verified investment adviser/broker and also always research for a strategy and read reviews also the one i use is the *Nicholas Alexander Kelly Strategy* currently working and the creator is registered and verified so try it.

On the hard right edge, how can you determine that the market is in a sideways move? It's more evident in hindsight - and by then it's too late. Moving averages are lagging and can't be reliablly used in real time.

When the price is making crossing back and forth and the gap between 50 and 200 MA is narrow, then the market is in a sideways but not necessarily on the lower timeframe where it could show a trend (think of pullback and reversals on 5, 10, 15 or 30 mins charts). Yes, MA is lagging but the help to filter market noise in a given timeframe you may be trading from.
