I am so glad I found you and your channel! I have been enjoying binge watching your SXM videos. It has been 15 years since my hubby and I have been on the island and we will be there in July 2022 with our 10 year old son. So many new places to visit (including your restaurant) and I am super excited. Thank you so much for sharing all of your knowledge with us!
we came to SXM 5 times , and my favorite restaurant was SkipJack , service , food , ambiance , the view of the canal , cant wait to come back and try Emilios and Jax Steakhouse !!
Thank you so much for the list. My friend Jim and I are going to visit your island at the end of April my first time. I am really looking forward to it. I haven’t traveled anywhere in over eight years. Looking forward to checking out your places and may be running into you again. Thanks so much for your videos. They are great.
Le moulin fou…Duck Shepard Pie and Lobster Risotto was amazing. Avantika… #1 absolute favorite!!!! Can’t wait to try the other recommendations. Thank you 😊
I stumbled upon Isola while looking for a place to have dinner after a sunset cruise in the area. Everything was delicious and the pizza was huge! Best spontaneous decision of my entire trip!
@@avancez4437 requirements are changing more often than I change clothes LOL Yes, there is an update on the requirements since the arrival of Omicron. Check stmaartenehas.com
You must be so excited. The Rusty Rocket is closed at this time but I’m sure you will enjoy tasting your way through this list and that for the French side.
Hi thanks for video, so beautiful! Can you send me 5 top 10 places to stay? I would love to stay in St Maarten and then do a day trip to Antigua via ferry.
I think you mean a day trip to Anguilla. Antigua is a bit too far. I’ve done several videos about places to stay on my channel. Check them out. But perhaps a top 5 is a good idea. Will look into that.
Hi Traveling Island Girl! Question for you. We will be coming into SXM soon with the Cruise and wanted to venture out to Simpson Bay for for Surinamese/Guyanese/ and bonus some callaloo. But I'm unsure of what would be the best way for me to get there. What do you recommend doing for transportation? It's myself, my 4 years old daughter and hubby. We are foodies and would definitely like a mini food tour with local eats instead of doing an actual excursion. I doubt these excursions stop at the local food places.
Thanks for sharing. After your husband restaurant you mentioned 2 other places but you didn't state What cuisine they are? Are they local Caribbean food
Hi Riselle! Two questions: Where is the Rusty Rocket located? and..lol..Is Alina located where Bamboo Bernies was? Can't wait to get there. Will be there in a month😊
Rusty Rocket, like I mention in the video, is across from the Winair office. Right before the bend to the airport. Alina is above Casino Royale, where Tantra once was.
Hello Island Travelling Girl, I am sorry for asking this. I watch a lot of your video and I probably get confused with other videos here on your tube about Sint Maarten. Did you mention anywhere in your video about rum is not made from Sint Maarteen ?
Hello Violet, indeed rum itself is not made here. We used to have a distillery in the 70’s. Currently the island does not grow enough sugar cane for rum production. The rum is brought in from nearby islands and flavored here by different local rum producers
Keeping my fingers crossed for you that you will indeed get here in May. My hubby’s place is called Rusty Rocket. It’s close to the airport on the lagoon side. Thank you for your support.
There is a vegetarian burger on the menu and you could get it without cheese. But it does have a little mayo in the coleslaw that is added on the burger.
So helpful, thank you! Could I email you/ message you for your favorite restaurants on the French side since we will be there this coming Saturday & are staying in Anse Marcel. Thank you!
