At this point mine would be (in no order) Freedom Five, The Presence, DMD, and even though the campaign isn't over Cysmic is funded so I'm counting that (plus that one is my top order lol)
Freedom Five, The Dark Quarter, Unconscious Mind, Andromeda's Edge, Cyclades Legendary Edition, Galactic Cruise, Inventors of the South Tigris, and Thunder Road: Vendetta - Carnival of Chaos would be my top few.
Yes please. I’ve been playing it and LOVE IT. I will likely be backing/buying anything Reggie puts out because of how well this turned out. Can’t believe it.
My most anticipated deliveries: 1.Elder scroll betrayal of the second era. 2.Nemesis retaliation 3.Andromeda’s Edge 4.Chuthulu DMD season 3-4 5.Guard of Atlantis 2
Cysmic, Secrets of the Lost Tomb, Purple Haze, Creature Caravan, Dragon Eclipse, Nemesis Retaliation, S. T. A. L. K. E. R., Singularity.exe, Wroth, Horror on the Orient Express! From Gamefound alone. Kickstarter and Backerkit are another list. I'm pathetic!
With you for Secrets of the Lost Tomb and Nemesis. And too many more like Vampire the Masquerade Chapters, Earthborne Rangers, Dying Light, Stars of Akarios, ......
Oh I'm waiting for quite a few: Tanares Ultimate (should be very soon), The Isofarian Guard, Andromeda's Edge, Company of Heroes, add-ons for Terraforming Mars and Deep Rock Galactic, Aberration, Cyclades leg. ed., Nemesis Retaliation, Castles of Burgundy special ed., Euthia and just backed Cysmic and Agemonia... I think I have a problem 😂
Spirit Fire is the only one of these I backed (and I'm looking forward to it a lot as well). Your coverage of Quodd Heroes got me excited for that as well but it would not get enough play time here (I mostly play solo) to justify the purchase. My secondhand copy of Cubitos comes close enough for those few times a year for a fraction of the price. I will definitely enjoy your content of Quodd Heroes though! I've got 15 crowdfunding games outstanding, of which four are expansions to games I already own and enjoy. Some new games I am really looking forward to are Arydia, Stonesaga, Spirit Fire, Black Sonata and The Dark Quarter.
Currently backing over 30 games. But these are the ones that excite me the most: The Elder Scrolls, Deceased, Forsaken, Tidal Blades 2, Marvel United: Multiverse, Andromeda's Edge, Dead Cells, and Nemesis Retaliation. I would have included Middara Parts 2 & 3 but it only seems like a dream that someday I will actually get them. I would love to get my hands on a copy of Tanares Adventures: Ultimate Edition when that comes out. It is "the one" I regret not backing the most.
You would think I like Betrayal of the Secone Era as someone playing ESO a lot and loving board games, but sadly no. Alone that you have tons of chips that are fiddly.
Yes, Andromeda's Edge!!!! However, my gut tells me that although Alex liked it BETTER than/MORE than Dwellings of Eldervale, it STILL isn't one of his favorites.
Especially I regret that I got into DMD with the S3+S4 campaign, especially because S1+S2 aren't available although CMON promised another retail wave back then. I feel scammed.
My understanding is that you should be totally fine even without the first two seasons. Although obviously wanting it is a different story than needing it.
It depends where you are located, but season 2 had a reprint. It was 50 dollars for a bit online in a few places like a month or two ago. Not sure about right now.
With more than 6 months overdue, DMD 3&4 is easily my most anticipated game right now (and it will probably be september before I finally have my KS delivered), very closely followed by Marvel United Season 3 which, as it seems will also be delivered somewhere in september. I also backed The Witcher Path of Destiny but not so hyped for it right now. On the other hand I can't wait for the Cyberpunk campaign to finally start.
I get it… but the spirit fire one is wild to me. And I say that as someone who had it in his gamefound cart and decided not to go for it. I LOVE the idea behind it. But as it stands, I feel like there is still to much information missing to me for that one. And with EU vat, I gotta say, it‘s getting harder and harder to justify backing when I have to back the equivalent price of a next gen console to get a board game where I‘m not even entirely sure how deeply and thoroughly it has been tested and balanced, and checked for the fun factor.
I picked up a pre-order for Creature Caravan! Currently waiting on 17 projects (and just finding out I have a problem) so I'll do top 6 I'm waiting on. 6.) Mordred 5.) Wondrous Creatures 4.) Scarface 1920: Bloody Business 3.) Mistwind (I don't own any pickup and deliver games, is raiders of the north sea pick up and deliver?) 2.) Cthulhu DMD 1.) Andromeda's Edge
I'm right with you on Rise & Fall, Cyclades: Legendary Edition and Unconscious Mind. I'm also hopeful to get Legend Academy (I'm getting nervous about this one), Tabriz, Coloma: New Prospects, Calimala, and Ostia.
I am expecting S.T.A.L.K.E.R. the board game but i'll get it probably next year, based on their latest update about shipping. Another one that i am exiceted to get, is DMD but it'll be retail- missed the campaign and late pledge by large. Top 3 is getting filled by The Witcher Path of Destiny, which also will hit my table next year, again from the info from the update.
I don't even have 10 outstanding backed, anymore, well if I count my Bus pre-order, that would make 10. Given half of them are evaluations expansions, my Top 5 are: Bus, Spirit Fire, Dark Quarter, Bebop (etc.), and finally Tokyo Highway (Reprint & Expansion). I don't back as much as I used to, these days.
I cannot trust SFG after Dark Souls the board game (especially the vs2 content, abandoning the v2 upgrade pack, the sunless city cash crap, the lack of love for the game and how they basically abandoned the game) and how they abandoned another game and blamed the players for not playing it how they wanted them too. Especially since Elden Ring the board game looks really overpriced. They are going to expect you to shell 1000s of dollars over several kickstarters to get all the content. The first kickstarter only has limgrave and includes a lot of repeated content in.
Cthulhu Death May Die is definitely at the top of my list along with with Elder Scrolls. I am also looking forward to Endeavor Deep Sea, Mythic Mischief Vol II, Andromeda's Edge, among several others, some of which will not be here until 2025. Definitely noticing that I am backing more TTRPGs over board games the last year or so meaning the games I do back are typically all highly anticipated.
For me I am waiting for elden ring and apex legends . It wil be interesting to see what arrives first, apparently apex legends will arrive this summer but we wil see…
Freedom Five and Nemesis Retaliation are my most anticipated new games. That said, the vast majority of my backing now is just expansions, so that’s a complicating factor.
Nice! I backed three of these! Elder Scrolls, Spirit Fire and Quodd heroes. Somewhere I figured nemesis Retaliation would be on your list too haha! My most anticipated games are Isofarian Guard, Dragon Eclipse, Elder Scolls, Nemesis Retalliation, Perseverance, Spirit fire, Floe, Wondrous Creatures, Cat Packs & River Valley Glassworks I do hope Quodd Heroes will go into production soon because the updates and progress have been very slow. Though I have high hopes the game will be delivered eventually, as a colleague of mine backed the first edition. 😄 Rise & Fall sounds very interesting too! Might check that one out.
I'm also wondering where CMON Comics Vol. 2 is hiding. Waiting for that as many have received their copies. And yes, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and Cthulhu: Death May Die 3 & 4.
If I spend $100-400 or maybe more for a game it better have more than a 3 session campaign! Cost per play is important and will never own a game that will sit on a shelf. But I also only own about 20 games, so there’s that.
Mine was Slay the Spire, and it fully met my expectations, highly recommend for all STS video game fans,. Next I'd say Flock Together, in spite of Alex's mixed review, I'm remaining optimistic about it
Has anyone noticed a huge uptick in crowdfunding shenanigans? Currently flooded with projects where the company just goes dark, most recently Friendly Skeleton/Deep Water.
Teotihuacan Deluxe Edition ships in August! Super excited for it. Also if you get a chance to play R’lyey rising (DMD), it’s super fun and epic! My most memorable episode, and I’ve played them all.
22:24 The thing is - is that ON refuses to give a comprehensible explanation of what the gameplay of Spirit Fire is going to be like - they just marketed it and said it was different - it is "the culmination" of everything, etc. I don't back things based on that - gambling and taking a chance - that "it could be good".
I too have cut back on crowdfunding, I use to back a game every month and now with the cost of games and shipping it takes a lot for me to pull the trigger now. The only 3 campaigns I'm waiting on are marvel United, paperback and bone wars. I'm most excited to get bone wars of the three
Excited for some games to arrive. On my list are Isofarian Guard Returns, Andromeda's Edge, Elder Scrolls, Arydia, Silver Coin - Age of Monster Hunters, Ostia, Spirit Fire, Galactic Cruise, Nemesis Retaliation, Perseverance Episode 3&4 and Euthia Cruel Frost.
Unconscious Mind tops my list and I passed on Creature Caravan but you’ve now piqued my interest! I think I’ve gone through a typical evolution as a board gamer, after chasing big, grand games, I now prioritize smaller, easier to table games.
From least to most: Barbaric, Kelp, Merchants cove expansion, Spiritfire, Nemesis Retaliation. Though Barbaric is one of my older list items at this point, if not the current oldest.
I’ve got Forsaken, Runar, Drop Bears, Weirdwood Manor (may be arriving today!!), and Into the Gods Grave on my list - we’ll see how many actually arrive this year…
Some interesting games on your list. I think I've had a similar experience where I used to back many more games than I do now but have since cooled on crowdfunding. However, there are still a couple games each year that are too much for me to resist. Right now I'm waiting on Inventors of the South Tigris and Galactic Cruise. Ada's Dream and Luthier have also caught my attention and may be good enough (depending on solo modes) for me decide to back them.
DMD maybe extra content but it brings so many options even when replaying the previous episodes :) My Giant Cthulhu is waiting in its box in anticipation of the main pledge.
Glad i only have 4 games matching your list. I need to review what i have coming. One i know that would make my top 10 is Thunder Road Vendetta because its just so fun in a group
Ones I’m most looking forward to receiving, in a very clear order: 1. Dark Blood 2. Nemesis Retaliation 3. The Gilded Realms 4. How to Save a World Bonus: Scoville 2nd Edition (just done through the publishers site so doesn’t qualify). I didn’t include More Terraforming Mars either, since it’s too close to delivery.
Unconscious Mind, Andromeda's Edge, ATO, Guards of Atlantis 2 are all among my most anticipated that should arrive this year/beginning of next. Tanares is in the process of delivering or it would definitely be listed. I guess it would count.
@@BoardGameCounderstandable. If you do write those off I hope you make a video on that. I could use the moral support at that point. I think we all will.
Waiting on Isofarian Guard, Zombicide White Death and Nemesis Retaliation. Also have Inventors of the South Tigris backed and at this point any Gharphill game is an auto-back for me. Their games are amazing. Just started playing Ezra and Nehemiah and loving it
From the games I'm waiting on, the ones I'd love to turn up today would be 1) FINAL GIRL SEASON THREE, 2) UNCONCIOUS MINDS, 3) CASTELLANS OF VALERIA (any day now!), 4) INVENTORS OF THE SOUTH TIGRIS, and 5) STAR REALMS: RISE OF EMPIRE.
