And a pretty big chest, and big biceps. I consider myself in good shape but his before has a better physique, not as lean as he could be but a great physique still.
He probably just has extreme insecurities with himself. Don't let the way he feels about himself affect your self-image. The body he has achieved is through years of incredible sacrifice, discipline, and suffering. Its an obsession. His perspective is not a reflection of how the world looks at you.
@@FeralMarauder yeah, I too have a pretty good physique, but no where near his before picture. I have similar bodyfat (maybe a bit more) but 8 kilos lighter. Thats why I was surprised at how insecure he felt about himself considering that I have a way lesser impressive physique and dont really feel insecure about it.
@@tobivon2074 Same tbh. I turned 17 a few days ago and have nowhere near his starting physique (probably because I don't go to the gym, and only do pushups, pull ups and running, but I feel fully comfortable about my body. This guy just has pretty severe body dysmorphia which is often a result of obsessive training and dieting.
This is why I respect you so much Dan, nothing but truth. No 4 minute ab, 30 day shred bullshit here. Do the basics and work hard consistently for 10 years and you’ll see progress. I, like so many others, got into this with your help so thank you for the continued work 🙏
Yeah, he surely had been training for quite a bit. Maybe played football, rugby or something. It's impossible to look even like half of that just by sitting on your ass, no matter how gifted your genetics are.
Hi Daniel, I love how you show not only your fitness transformation, but also show other aspect of your life such as your education, teaching, and even production quality. And congrats on reaching 1 million subscriber milestone. Been following you for 8~9 years and it was amazing to see how you grow. Please stay safe from the virus and let’s catch up sometime 👌🏻
I know I’m not who your asking but you can do both of those exercises in a day, just try not to do them again the next day, wait 2-3 days before working the same muscle groups
but imo skinny guys (talking about the real skinny guys with low bf and mostly only bones and skins) will always ended up getting very lean and has the best physique.. again imo
thats cause he's on steroids, muscles naturally dont look that hard, they look softer like in his early days no matter what kinda training you expose to and time has nothing to do with it, it's hormones that do the trick. he's probably on anavar or something like that nothing too crazy
Agreed, no need to be embarassed about that, fit start and extreme fit end. Unlike me 110lbs over weight start and with various phases. Latest one being calisthenics to a very fit end as ripe middle age athlete.
As an introvert myself, I admire how he was able to work hard to get past his initial insecurities and improve both his fitness and his public speaking, and to put himself out there. This channel has really helped me and countless others.
the funny part is laizans have less experience and less muscle but way more strength, skills and dynamics than this dude. Heck laizans became a world champion at such a young age
You're the real deal Daniel, it's amazing to see your progression over the years and how your content evolved into what it is today. Always being genuine and humble, while delivering professional information in a clear manner. Time really flies, been following you for a good 8 years now. Congratulations on a million, wishing you continual success in this journey! I greatly appreciate your contributions to the fitness world, and know that everyone else does too. Nothing but respect, keep it up 👊
Hands down the most inspirational calisthenics video I’ve ever watched. No crazy edits no wild music no popularity contest...just pure determination you’ve altered my mindset thank you 🙏🏽
"Believe in yourself. You have to set goals. You have to have a vision. You need to stand by your values no matter what. You've gotta have the courage, to put yourself out there, to be disliked. And you also need to have the humility, to learn from your mistakes, and keep evolving over time. The world doesn't owe you anything. It's on you to take responsibility, to take ownership for your actions, and to go out there and get it. The world is going to distract you with all these different things, all these different options, other people are going to doubt you, you are going to doubt yourself. Forget that. You've got to believe in yourself, and take action. Train Hard. Train Honest" Thank you Daniel, for you truly love what you do, and there is no force more inspirational than love.
He literally thanked his family for supporting him and never doubting him though. Kind of takes away the point. Imagine if his family was different and how it would have effected him. Would he still be there making this video telling you this? What if his parents never believed in him and his brother didn't care about him. What if he believed in himself but all he was taught he would never be good enough? Just hypothetical ofcourse. When you train a dog that dog is what you make him. Love and support a long way. Take that away and that fan cripple their future.
This a great example for anyone who is insecure about fitness and also about goals. This is an unbelievable positive video where shows the reality about a good, strong, stable, mobile body and mindset. Well done, congratulations for your 10 year journey.
I love the speech at the end! Too many sit on their bums and expect the world to grant them everything on a golden plate. Take responsibility - even if you are not responsible - and work hard!
Absolutely maximum respect to both you and your channel. Your journey is totally inspirational and a testament to hard work, and the fact that you advocate for such good, safe, honest practise - with no shortcuts, no quick fixes, no risky bullshit and instead just preach long-term dedication for lasting long term rewards - is really refreshing. More power to you - keep doing what you're doing, because the online fitness community is better for it.
It's kind of his style. He has detached himself from it and his youtube content in the past 2 years, while being immensely helpful, are nowhere near as good as his old videos. Gotta make bread I guess.
I follow this guy since 2012, he motivated me to be stronger and have a healthier life style! Since i follow this channel i've been improveing my physic and overall goals. Thank you so much Daniel ur the man!
Even though we're almost the same age, you are such an inspiration for me. I started doing calisthenics last year after I became really out of shape in med school with limited time to make it to the gym. Since that time, despite only being in the beginner stages and not being able to bench and squat as much as I used to, I have never felt so strong or in control of body and my emotions. I hit my first muscle up in October and first 10 sec handstand in December. It would be a dream for me to build a brand like you have one day. I love your message and this video convinced me to finally pull the trigger and buy body by rings. Congrats on 1 million subscribers!
@FitnessFAQs I admire your work. One little suggestion though: I always dive deep into your videos just to feel abrupty stopped and being thrown out in the end. I recommend getting an outro, where the content can sink in and where the music comes to an end and is not being cut off. Because that is exactly how I feel in the end everytime. Greetings from a fulltime-editor and huge fan of yours from europe.
The emphasis on mobility!!! Man, you were tackling every excuse I was making while you were talking. OK, I'll do it!... Congratulations on the 1M subscribers!!!
What a nice dude he is both on and off the camera for sure too. In these past few weeks I've watched most of your videos also the interviews with Austin, Gabo, Cali move who are equally nice. I've decided to change myself, physically as well as mentally. Calisthenics means discipline ,it is hard work, it is joy. I haven't got my first muscle up yet, I am 16 right now from an average Nepali family. This journey has just begun. The main issue for me might be consistency but people like you will keep us motivated. THANK YOU DANIEL FOR EVERYTHING! Keep inspiring sir
For sure one of the most important message I've got from you is the mobility work. Doing it improves everything and I know when I'm lacking. I know when I'm not progressing or something feels weird, usually is mobility lacking. Thanks for the motivation Daniel, keep it up!
Same. I realized my back pain when doing abs is probably from back hip flexors when it dawned on me that leg raises are really tight. So I'm working on flexibility which I had assumed just comes over time. No, you have to train it. Turns out yoga is no joke. Look at ballet, those girls aren't(all) naturally flexible, they work for it, so why not me? I want to do an L sit pull up, and that is a real goal. Then a muscle up, another. L sit is next to muscle up. The big daddy is a V sit and handstand into planche. Some day.
@@PinkBunnyCorporation Awesome man! You will get it, if you stay focus you will! I also struggled with v-sit, and even now I need more flexibility for it to look better. We have to look up for the missing links :)
Tubby and soft? I’m 43 years old and I just started in the calisthenics. I have weight to loose. Always has it. But I want to change. The way is going to be hard, and sometimes I want to give up but it’s the example you set with your own journey and your humility that makes me try to get better every day. Thank you for your courage and being there setting the way. Really, thank you.
Thank you for sharing your journey. It is never to late to improve weaknesses. Years of flexibility and legs, but my arms and shoulders are my weak point. Started in 2023 and improving... slowly and with intent
I've been following you for many years. Since then I have mainly transitioned into weight lifting. but I still watch all your videos, and your dedication to the sport and content are truly inspiring. Thank you for all the years.
Your words are so encouraging. I am at the beginning of learning calisthenic movements. Every time I'm able to do a new basic movement it feels very rewarding.
Daniel - I know you get thousands of these, but thank you for showing me the way to improve my body and mind. Grateful to be able to learn directly from legends like yourself
Thank you Daniel, you're a legend and an inspiration to all of us. There so many things, which differentiate you from the rest, charisma, work ethic, humbleness, genuinity only being a few of them. The quality of your content and your lessons is astonishing. You're an amazing teacher not only for the sport but also for life. You deserve every single one of your followers and many millions more. Your philosophy and vision is bigger than the world. I don't want to add another personal story - just know that you've been changing my life since 2017 (age: 15) for the best. You've been an idol to me for now three years and counting, I got a picture of you on my wall. The admiration I have for you is very hard to express. Keep on creating your vision, keep on building your legacy. Thank you Daniel!
This is beautiful. Years of honest vision, goal setting, high quality work and growth and yet the comments are filled with this weak 'his befor pictures are better than my after' mentality. I'm so disappointed. He was always sporty but he clearly had a regular teenage body. Stop blaming genetics or some kind of stumbling block that gives you an excuse to give up on the journey again. As he says...take ownership of yourself. Pick yourself up and see this for what it is. Amazing work Daniel! You show us the way!
Boy oh boy. Was this a ride! Also, I've just yesterday started listening to your Podcast. Lovely content. It's great to see how knowledgeable other fitness people can be in different topics other than, well, fitness
I love calisthenics .My respect for calisthenics will remain for my whole life. tears came in to my eyes when i was watching your video .I started it when i was 16 and now i am 18. I am trying harder. Bless me so that i can achieve my goal. Also god bless you.
One of the best if not the best transformation video in RU-vid. No hype music, no fake bulk to cut bullshit. Straight journey progression and Fitness education as well as life education. Amazing job. Congratulations. You have a new subscriber.
I began into calisthenics a year and a half ago, I've been always lifting weights but never worked seriously with my body and this channel, you as person gave me the mental tools to progress day after day. Nowadays, I got my bars, rings, TXR, doing the basics and keep on lifting. The strenght of a gymnast with a physic of a bodybuilder.
Thanks for sharing this Daniel. It’s inspiring to see how you’ve grown over the years (not just physically). I really appreciate the content you put out. Keep it up!
l_is_for_ludin yeah very cool how he acknowledges how the love and support of his family helped him in his achievements in training and education. Fitness supported and motivated by loving relationships is the way to go.
Thanks Dan. I needed this. I've been watching you on and off for years. But in the last 6 months my training took a break. Only recently am I back in the gym and back into the right headspace. Watching this video has re-lit a fire under me to continue calisthenics training, more specifically my planche and lever training. Thank you for always promoting fantastic content.
Don't forget that daniel hasn't started training in 2010. he has already been training for 2 years by 2010 if I'm not mistaken. Great video as always daniel
