Just wondering what water tank you have? Also, how do you fill it without spilling water over your electrics?

Ironman 40ltr tank mate I fill it with a hose straight into the hole at the top and kink the hose when it’s full.

Those 40+ enerdrive are lucky to top your battery by 35ah they spend to much time cycling on/off charge and ramping back up.

I get 40 amps through to the second battery once the car turns on mate and she kicks in which is normally a minute or so after start up? Never had a drama with the amount of juice it’s putting in

@@4x4CampingandAdventures yea it says 40amp or even up to 46amp on mine but every 3mins it's stops charging to do a battery test for 15secs then ramps back up to its 40amp. So when you factor in it's only actually at 40amps 80ish% of the time. Watch the display while charging and you'll see or just read the manual.

Thanks , good wrap up on the elec setup. I'm assuming the shunt is used for the signals to your SiMarine readout panel?? You gave a look over the screen menu etc etc on the last reveal vid and only mentioned the shunt here, just missing explanation on what the shunt signals are for 🤔?. All round powerful system fit for purpose, nice.

The shunt is exactly that mate it reads the amps etc coming from the battery and gear that’s running for the read out panel.

Good to see you back legend! Hope all is well. Looking forward to a review on the Maxxis tyres bro! Dash recently mentioned the sidewall integrity gave up after he aired down on his for the first time so interested to hear your thoughts.

Well I have aired down about 20 times now and I have not seen any issues maybe he got a bad set? I will keep you updated though.

@@4x4CampingandAdventures Yeah I'm not too sure mate, he mentioned it on FB this week and his tyres are 4000km old. He's possibly gotten a bad batch and he's also on 20's so maybe that plays into it somehow. Cheers mate 👍

So is the fridge running off the lithium battery at all times? I was thinking of doing a setup where the fridge runs off the starter battery when driving the vehicle and switch over to the second battery when at camp. Maybe I don't need to do that. I thought of that for less stress on the second battery that's all. A fresh battery for camp. So is your battery at 100% when you stop for camp? With your setup, I was instantly worried about the water tank above some of the electrics. 🤔 Maybe you can't put it lower if you use the back seat for passengers. 🤔 But the system is neatly done and nice.

Hey mate yep always running again lithium battery’s like to be charged from half over fully drained from what I have read, the water tank can’t leak where it is unless the pipe goes but that’s on there pretty good. My battery is always 100% when I arrive for camp mate and generally I’m getting a few amps of solar as I park up depending on the time I get into camp.

I know a few guys go lithium for starter batteries on those power hungry Patrols Is this a path you might go down? Under bonnet lithium battery usually have a 3 year warranty only Is this still the case?

I have not looked into them enough mate but yeah it’s on the cards for sure. Once I make a decision I will do a video on it

Great setup, the 12volt world has come leaps and bounds in the last 10ish years. I went away with some magazine guys about 15 years ago when fridges where the next big thing and saw nothing but troubles with flat batteries and warm fridges from their hacked together fire hazards.

Haha yeah I know I went from deep cycles to lithium and I honestly couldn’t look back now lithium is the way to go if you can afford it!
