My 1930's Hoover 825 Antique Vacuum - After FULL (mechanical) restoration! 

Aww thanks! It's a greasy, filthy job but reasonably easy! Just 2 types of flathead screwdriver is all I needed 😂 And a few cans of brake cleaner, old paintbrush etc

Thanks! They are lovely, and do surprise me how good they still are! Got one more to refurbish now, but still painting to do on them all but it's snowing right now so 🤷‍♂️😂

I've seen similar methods on vacuum land using latex and such. Great idea but I've not got the workshop or setup to do it 😢 Not butchered the hose yet though and probably won't now I know a numatic hose end just plugs into the tool adapter for the 3 times I'll ever use the tools on a coffee can properly

Hi! Lovely story with yours though! I wouldn't be too upset about the bag, miner's not fit to use sadly and they mostly never are nowadays! The bulb came from ebay, many years ago now so can't send you a link. I quite like it. Nice and bright, runs cool and I'm less likely to smash it moving the machine around in storage

You're right about the bag, it's a pretty good substitute,even if I say it myself. Mine is on permanent display in our kitchen and has been the topic of conversation with the majority of people who come to visit I'm a huge fan of Hoover vacuums, when they were proper Hoover, not the cheap crap that's been produced this century. I still remember the Hoover salesman calling at our house to demonstrate the " new hoover junior" While he was talking to mum I had the thing out if it's box and fully assembled apart from the nuts and bolts in the handle. The guy was absolutely gobsmacked as I was about 4 at the time. Mum bought the Hoover the 1334 model in rose pink and white and had it for almost 30 years
