Good job, kid. Looks good, sounds great. Cool truck. I grew up in the 70s when these trucks were new. But the long wheelbase 350s are as rare as pig wings now.
@@AmrheinGarage I have a pair of Camper Special rims for one of those. 16.5 x 9.75. With 40 year old mudders, 12.50 x 16.5s. They'd look good on yours. But I'm in Washington.
I can't believe your manifolds were not cracked or broken(standard fare for 360-390) and new ones are expensive! If I were in your place I would just throw that engine away and put something different in there.
Yeah I got lucky there for sure! They sealed back up well and have been great ever since. Long term I think that will happen, but for now the old 390 is still chugging along well.
I'm doing OEM style exhaust on my 75 F350. Had to get the Y-pipe for a f100-f250, and do some fab to get it to fit. What you did in this video was a consideration since the prefab exhaust systems are nowhere to be found anymore for these trucks. However, my F350 was previously modified with a PTO and Dump bed. So, I'm not sure if duel exhaust would be a feasible option since there's custom cross members and PTO shafts. Again, I got the exhaust completed with some minor modification via welding and an extra 45deg elbow. Good video btw.
