Like #110 and I love cards tooooooooo..............Nice Payton RC and amazing 1977! Great return, happy for you to add them to your PC. Funny how that is when you search a stack you have not looked at in a while a pull out a great card. That happened to me back in the 80's with the 1981 Montana RC, I had an old cheese box in my dresser drawer for a few years that had about 600 Topps cards from the 1981 Topps. Started sorting through it any holy cannoli, by the time I got done going through them, I had 3 Joe Montana RC's sitting in front of my. Traded two of them years ago, sold a PSA 7 I had from a submission to PSA that I thought was in the best condition out of the 3 and ended up buying a PSA 8 that I put with my 1981 Topps set. Thanks for sharing, enjoyed this video and didn't even have to go to a massage parlor for a happy ending 😂🤣😂 👍👍and until next time ✌out
@@Andys_Attic thanks so much for watching and for the great comment! Yeah it's a great feeling when you stumble on a great card you didn't realize you had. Doing that with an '81 Montana, that's great!! Three times, even better! 😁 The '81 set is a great one. Thanks again for watching!
Thanks so much! Yeah, as a Bears fan it's hard for me, because I'm a huge Love fan. I love that card too and was thrilled it came back a 10 😊 thanks so much for watching!
Thanks Fabien! The cards came better with better grades than I was expecting, so I'm very happy about it 😊 thanks for watching and have a great weekend!
Thanks buddy! Yeah, I was really impressed with those. I just got the Sayers back. The two autos may take a while lol. But I'm really looking forward to seeing how they turn out 😊👍
Thanks so much, CW! It turned out better than I was hoping, and it was fun too! I doubt I'll grade very often, but I've gotta say, it's quite satisfying to see my own cards come back in the slabs 😊 Thanks for watching!
Beautiful cards and selections to send in. That Burrow looks really slick. I think sending in cards that you pull from packs might be the most gratifying to see get back in a slab. That and cards that come from friends and loved ones. Congrats!
That is very well said! Having cards that I pulled from packs, and now seeing them back in the collection in the slabs is a pretty satisfying feeling. Same with cards like Montana, from a friend... And I'm still waiting on a Gale Sayers card my parents got me when I was a kid. It won't grade high, but I'm really looking forward to have it back for the collection. Thanks for watching!
Hi Brian, you did very well for a first reveal. The Burrow is a beautiful card. I am happy for you the Montana got an 8. What an awesome card. Maybe the key card of 1980s football. I am not a big harp on the grade guy either but you did very well. I look forward to seeing the auto returns. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much Terry! I was really happy to see the cards come back, and thrilled the Montana was an 8... I was going for a 6 😁 and cards like the Burrow, Brady, Mahomes, Luck, and Love were nice to pull from packs and now have them back in the collection slabbed up. It was pretty satisfying, really. Though wow, grading is expensive 😂 I'm looking forward to getting the final 3 cards back too! Thanks for watching and have a great weekend!
I sure thought so! Still love the card, but was pretty surprised when it came back a 5. The Montana was a nice surprise, however, and getting it as the last card I needed from the 80's and from a friend makes it extra special for me. Thanks so much for watching!
Thanks! Yeah I was really happy with the return. A couple cards came back higher than I expected, so it was a very pleasant surprise 😊 thanks for watching!
Isn't that a nice looking card?! I still remember pulling that, and seeing it now in the 10 slab is pretty fun 😊 thanks for watching buddy, I appreciate it!
Yeah, it is definitely lacking in Chicago Bears cards! I did send in a vintage Gale sayers, but it hasn't come back yet. I slammed it just because I love it, though it's not going to get a high grade lol. Thanks for watching buddy
Thanks buddy! Yeah having pulled that Burrow myself, and now seeing it on a PSA 10 is a nice feeling. I'm still waiting on 3 cards (one was vintage, 2 are autographed, and we're in separate orders) but it was fun to get them slabbed. That being said... It was a lot more expensive than I was anticipating lol. Thanks for watching!
Thanks so much buddy! Yeah, I was thrilled with the returns... Better than I was hoping. Having those QB legends rookie cards in slabs is a nice feeling (as opposed when I sent them away... I didn't like having them "out in the world" like that 🤣😂). Thanks for watching!
I was thrilled with how things played out! Thank you SO much for helping me complete my '81 set, final 80's card needed, and now to see it get an 8 (I was hoping for a 6 🤣)... So this was great! Have a great weekend!
Thanks buddy! I was really happy with them. The Montana was a nice surprise! Congrats on the Love pickup! He sure looked great last season. Thanks for watching buddy!
Thanks Jason! I just watched your return video from a few days ago 👍 I was really happy with the returns. It was so fun! Expensive 😂🤣 ... But fun! Thanks for watching!
Love the Montana. I have one slabbed myself, a PSA8. And hearing you also have the entire 80s decade collection. The 1981 is my birth year set. My final sets were the 1984 and 1985 USFL sets. Was a huge deal to me finishing those.
That's awesome you have the Montana in an 8 too! Those USFL sets are great, right?! I've had the 85 set for many years, but only finished the 84 set last year and was so happy to finally get it. Thanks so much for watching!
The first Walter card looks great! Surprised it got a 5! That Burrow is awesome! Awesome grade on the Montana! I have a Montana rookie too that I have gone back and forth on, on whether I should submit it!
Thanks Jerry! Yeah it stung when that Payton only came back a 5. Still love the card though 😊 I was really happy with these returns. The Montana came back better than I'd hoped. I have been going back and forth on sending a few cards in for years, so I totally understand the back and forth. It was fun! ... But man, it was expensive!! Thanks for watching buddy!
Nice PSA Return here Brian. Gotta love that TB12 RC. That Brady 1/1 you showed is awesome. Also Nice to see some Montana and Walter Payton. Joe Burrow is probably my favorite modern day QB. I respect Mahomes, but ehhh.... Lol. Enjoyed as always and hope you are having a great work week buddy! Enjoyed.
Thanks Steve! I was really happy with the grades on this. It was fun to send a few of my own cards in for once 😊 I was SO thrilled when I pulled that Brady. My first 1/1. Seeing the Burrow in a 10 was nice. I have a nice Herbert and Tua ... And Hurts from that year too... Maybe in a year I'll send those in too 🤷 . I still have 3 cards out that haven't come back yet, so hopefully I'll have those back soon too. thanks for watching buddy!
I'm 57, grew up outside of Chicago and had an awesome collection in the late 70's that I sold for $50 in HS. I use to go to Woolworth's with my grandmother and they used to sell these clear packs that were actually 3 packs that hung from a hook, so you could see a total of nine players. I can still picture flipping through them and seeing that Payton card. A couple years later my best friend's mom took him and I to see a Bear's benefit basketball game at a local HS. Payton was only 5'8'' I believe but he could slam it no problem. It was like he had springs in his legs. Afterward they set up an autograph table and Walter was at the end. When I slid the 4th thing to him to autograph, he looked me right in the eye and said "this is the last one". I only have 1 of the autographs. I have a mint copy of his 1st SI that goes for big bucks since they started grading them. Also an autographed Butkus SI that's one of my favorite collectibles!
Wow, that's great you got to meet Payton! Getting his autos in person, and Butkus too! Wow! And the memories of connecting when you were young. That's what it's all about. Thanks so much for sharing the stories! 😊👍
Wow, Brian! Those are some bangers! I love the blind reveals. Thanks for the shoutout! That Montana was a whammy! I sent mine in on my last reveal video, and I only got a 6. I was happy cause I thought the card was trimmed. It’s funny, our stories are pretty much the same. We don’t sell any of our cards either. We’re pure collectors. I did do comps in my reveal video, cause I wanted to give an idea of worth. I literally found my Brady rookies the same way, except mine were sitting in 5000 count boxes with the other commons. I am endeavoring to have one grading submission per year because of the price. Beckett has 10 of our cards now. I’m hoping to have them by the end of June Good call grading all these! Can’t wait to see the last few!
Thank YOU for suggesting I send the Mahomes in to get slabbed! I'm so glad I did now 😊. And yeah, just knowing the Montana is legit and not messed around with is a good thing... And a 6 is still good. I was hoping for a 6 on mine, so go figure 🤣😂 I do think the comps on cards can be fun. I had no idea the comps on my cards, but have since looked then up. What's nice is if, some day when I'm long gone, my family wants to sell these cards, they'll have an easier time knowing exactly what it is and what they're worth. That's awesome you were able to pull some Brady RCs. Who would've ever know back then what those cards would be worth now? I definitely think it would be fun to grade again down the road. Maybe pick another ten cards. Thanks for watching buddy! Hope you guys are doing well!
Thanks so much! Yeah I vividly remember pulling that card. My first 1 of 1... I bought two or three packs at my LCS, opened them in the car... And my hands started shaking lol. Had another nice surprise when it came back gem mint. Thanks for watching!
You killed this sub! Congrats on all the great grades!! I have been doing really well on my blind reveals too. I hope to pos a couple new videos soon. Keep the videos coming and you gained a new subscriber !!
Thanks so much! Yeah that was a blast seeing how they graded. I appreciate the sub, and just gave you one too! I'll keep an eye out for your videos and the blind reveals! Thanks for watching!
You really hit a homerun! The Montana & Payton RC are my favorite 🏈 cards ever produced! I completely forgot, I have to reach out to your buddy Mike to see if he still has more football cards he's selling
Thanks buddy! Yeah I was thrilled! Montana and Payton are such iconic football cards. Yeah Mike still has lots of cards, so you should definitely reach out. He's a great guy. Thanks for watching and have a great weekend!
Congrats on the great returns. That Luck Finest Red is beautiful! I remember 2000 football very well trying to pull Urlacher rookies and once in awhile I got a Tom Brady rookie and then asked myself who is this guy?
Thanks so much! Yeah, I've always loved the Luck card, so it was one of the cards on my mind to send in. So happy with the 10 😊 Urlacher rookies are great, but who could've known about Brady, right?! That's great you were able to pull some of those back in the day 😊. Thanks for watching!
I was really happy with the Burrow. It's a nice feeling pulling the card myself and then having it come back 10. That's awesome about your Payton RC! Good luck! Crossing my fingers you get a 6 🤞😊
did you submit standard through collectors club? or standard as a non member? hesitant to submit my first set cause it doesnt make sense to me to pay $125 for their membership on top of another $200+ for the actual submission
I submitted mine standard through a local card shop in my area. They charge $5 for handling, but otherwise it's whatever PSA charges, and my LCS gave me the bill when I picked up the cards. That way I didn't have to pay for a membership. But it sure wasn't cheap lol... I still have 3 cards of my 10 card order that haven't come back yet, so hopefully I get those back soon too. Thanks for watching!
Thanks so much for the sub! And thanks for watching! I was really happy with how these came back. I still have three cards floating around at PSA, and I'm looking forward to seeing how those turn out. Have a great weekend!
Just got my card and autograph graded cards back from PSA. Took about 4.5 months, so sit back and relax. Will be awhile. Turnaround time on cards has been running 6 weeks or less, but getting anything done with the autos be it graded or authenticated, it takes A LONG time.
4.5 months!? Wow, that's a looong time! Thanks for the heads up 😊 I'll definitely remind myself to be patient. Thanks for letting me know, and for watching!
Thanks! Unfortunately, not at the moment. Since it's the very first 1/1 I ever pulled from a pack it's kind of sentimental... But if I ever decide to do so, I can reach out to you. The Spellbound inserts are a great set, for sure. Thanks for watching!
I know, I know... Guilty as charged 😂 I actually had about twenty cards too send to PSA and when I realized how much that might cost, I took away a few Bears cards because I found some obvious "flaws" on them. Thigh I do have an old Gale Sayers card they still have, so it'll be nice to at least have his card to add to my graded collection. It's not going to get a high grade, but it's one of my favorite cards 😊 and yeah, I was thrilled with the Montana. Thanks for watching!
Sorry, but Booooorow? 🤮 Nice 8 on the old GOAT and nice 9 on the new GOAT 👍 Ohhhhh, and not a bad 9 on who some call the GOAT, but when you cheat your way to 3 out of 7 rings, that along with other factor, doesn't make you a GOAT to me. Plus, 1 more already & Mahomes equals them before 30 (The 4 won hopefully fairly by the Pats) never know since they were caught cheating in 3 already. 🤷♀️ Should at least have asterisks ✳ like baseball, right? Congrats on the results. 👍 Thanks for sharing! 🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈 Take Care/Stay Safe ✌
Thanks buddy! I was thrilled the Montana pulled an 8. That made my day 😊. And yeah, I hated Brady for the longest time... But eventually appreciated all he did (minus the stuff you mentioned lol). It'll be interesting to see how many more rings Mahomes head left in him. Still quite young. Thanks for watching! 😊
@@bearcards3497 As a die hard Chief, I hope MANY more. Waited 50 years. I don't mind more. 😂 I watched my Huskers go #BACKTOBACK. Now got to see my Chiefs go #BACKTOBACK- on to that #3PEAT. Would be nice to be the 1st ever. ☺
@@srjwildcat3589 I was thrilled the first time KC won a SB with Ried & co. Such a long time between SBs, and such a fun team to watch (so are!). And yeah, as a Bears fan, I've only been alive for one Superbowl win. As A Jazz fan... No championships. I can barely remember how it feels to win the whole thing lol. Maybe one day 😁
@@bearcards3497 You guys have the opportunity to make some HUGE strides this year. I'll be curious to see both our picks. I kinda know the direction we'll go and kniw who your 1st pick will be, but...will you guys use your picks or make a surprise package trade for a HUGE vet like the Eagles did with AJ Brown? Didn't even know AJ was up for trade that year. Guess anything is possible. Big WR draft I think. At this point almost every year is QB crazy, but I think WR & OL will be big this year too. Was set on us taking a. OL 1st round, but after Rice-dumba$$-who knows.
How often do you grade? Have your gem rates changed over time? I have 3 cards that haven't come back yet... One is an older vintage card that will be nowhere near a 10, but I'm curious on the other two. Thanks so much for watching!
