My 1st Stint Highlights For The 12hr Charity Race (Teamsport Leeds Go Karting)

So here are the highlights to my 1st stint of the 12hr race.
I will upload almost all of race 2 to show how you shouldn't defend other racers.
What happened in stint 2 was very dangerous and no good sportsmanship was shown at all from 1 driver I was stuck behind for probably 30 minutes.
It will be a great video for you all.
I for one, believe it was the worst defensive driver I've ever battled with!

Don’t be too dissatisfied with your pace Brad, you were still the 3rd quickest member on our team. The result wasn’t what we wanted but on pace alone we should have got a podium, but we had the most pitstops out of any team which probably ended up costing us in the end

I really wanted that super low 40 or high 59! I didn't have many clear laps in my 2nd stint, but hey ho. Our first kart was clearly off pace and was just unfortunate with starting 11th on the grid and fighting to get to the top in a none competitive kart!

They need to do this at Warrington. Would be so good and enjoyable to watch. And maybe even do myself.

Would just require a team of 12 as that track completely kills your body 😂

@@BradJonesGoKarting I know. I drive there for advanced on some Sundays and Junior Cadets on the 2nd Monday of every Month. I am so tired and my body aches after. And it gives you bad blisters on your hands

@@ClutchF1 I do cadets on Mondays and Sundays at crawley. The team at teamsport crawley are having a meeting about removing inexperienced drivers/ making it so only advanced cadet academy drivers can access cadet leage because tonight I got unfair black flag because of a trash driver. I on the other hand had to wait until I was in advanced cadet academy to race in the Monday night cadet leage

@@Slowzack-nh5td At your track do they make little kids race with you on Sundays because they just introduced it at ours and you can't set a decent lap time. For example I'm trying to qualify for the BIKC and I can't set under under 1 mins or 1 mins because there in the way

@@ClutchF1 I'm not exactly sure what you mean but I looked and the age of cadet academy drivers in advanced are ten or eleven. None that I know of races cadet academy under 9yrs in advanced. Im ten and my 11th birthday next month. By little kids do you mean by they put complete beginners that are like tiny?

A big shout out to Oliver & KART4LIFE. It's a shame you don't mention these guys in the description/ title, can we give them a plug? As for the move by Kart 10, the squeeze and block pass, OK a little frustrating for you, but like your tap into T12, both could have been worse. Given the sometimes aggressive defending prior (don't believe it's shown in this video) as we watched from the sidelines, I think all is fair. We've seen a lot worse for sure. Most importantly, everyone had fun and an insane amount of money raised for KART4LIFE. We'll keep checking back on the channel Brad, good work!

2:10 when the guy closed the gap, looked like maybe he got a bit of a push from his team mate over into your line, maybe not it’s hard to tell. Well done 👍

My superview angle makes it look like the space is more squashed. But he did actually have the entire middle of the track when he exited the turn before he pinched me in to the barrier. Instead of making sure the person on the right hand side of him stayed to the right, he just decided he wanted to close the gap too late. Could have been a mistake due to lack of awareness. He was in a teamsport suit so could also be lack of experience and spacial awareness!

Good driving mate. The helmet looks familiar of someone who I've seen cause plenty of issues before. You should bring it up with the guys at your track to contact Leeds as that was clearly intentionally pushing you into the barrier.

How much do you weigh to be classed as a light weight driver?

Anything less than 74.5kg

@@DelsonKarting Middleweight is 75kg - 90kg. I think it's a good weight bracket. Don't forget there is no minimum weight to be a lightweight driver. So you could weigh 74kg and race vs someone who weighs 45kg. The difference is massive!

I see you race at Warrington, that's my local Teamsport track and planning on going regularly. Been watching you to try and improve, Would say I'm an above average driver just been trying to learn to keep it more consistent.

Ah no mate! My teammate was involved in it I believe? Was it the crash where you got ran over or something?

@@dylanplatt3308 Yes, not sure which teammate it was, but he felt so bad when he came off his stint. Hope youre okay though. I was trying to nap when it happened and I heard the tannoy and had to go see what happened

Trying to have a nap is the key word 😂. I felt horrible for everyone else who ended up involved. I didn't even realise that my leg got ran over until I was told 😂

The first incident was your fault, his front axle was way ahead of yours, that wasn’t your gap to take going into that shallow turn before the bridge. However the second one, you left a lot of space and that eye contact shows how deliberate that move was. It was dangerous and he should’ve been pulled off the track.
