So I tried My 1st Time DTF FOIL STAMPING a T Shirt...BIG FAIL! Check out today's video to see what went wrong and if it really works. I was successful my fitst time with white toner images so I wanted to see if it works on DTF as well.
FYI: So I learned after the video you have to have the actual DTF FOIL TO PRINT DIRECTLY ONTO!

Tuurn the foil over .. when you went back to the press the second time, you put the foil the same way as the first time :)

I don’t know if you have figured out how to do it yet, but I foil my dtf’s all the time. You have to put the foil on while it’s still hot and not let it cool down. Then I let the whole shirt completely cool down. I press at 325 for both 😊

Hi, try placing the gold foil on the print out and press at the same time. The gold will be showing when you place it down to be transferred. Place the Teflon sheet on top. Love your video. I haven’t tried it but just a suggestion

I can't speak to DTF, but to use hot foil on cardstock, for example, you have to use toner, it will not bond to inkjet ink, and to the best of my knowledge won't bond with color toner either. So I am not saying it won't work, but that could be an explanation as to why it didn't work. Also you did have the foil on correct for the method I am familiar with. I would expect, but do not know, that the backing is part of the adhesion process, meaning flipping it over would not help. Of course since you're doing DTF I could be entirely wrong. Good luck if you keep trying.

I saw a video with a professional doing it and his image was white, put powder on it and did the foil exactly how you did it (gold side up). Maybe leave just the white part?

I think it's because DTF has a smooth texture, unlike screen print transfers. It was nothing to adhere to

I believe you have to use toner ink. DTF is picky. I tried glitter gtv over dtf and it peeled off in the wash.

I saw another person do this with a laser printer and it worked ....they applied the laser printed design to the gold foil and then they pressed the gold foil to the shirt and then peeled it

this is not the way its done. you need to have some adhesive so it can stick to the foil. Use the adhesive vinyl to cut out your project and weed it like you would any other vinyl for 5 sec. and then use the foil.

This was not a vinyl method video and I have done it before with white toner. I seen others done it with DTF it can be done
