I found this video "by chance" and it by far one of the best I've watched (which I have watched it a few times). The photos and even the live shots are so well done. No jerky movement of the camera, which tends to make me a bit motion sick. I was wondering about your street lights. The one's that you have that are a bit more beefy are stunning. If you could, what it the name of them? Well done.
Thank you so much. I used the iMovie app to create this video. It takes a compilation of photos and create the video. The more fancy streetlights are called ‘Ornate Streetlight’.
Really beautiful! I am just getting started on my Dickens village it just reminds me so much of my grandparents and makes me so happy. May I ask what you use as a power setup?
Thank you so much. I changed all my regular light bulbs into LED (you can get from Amazon, search for ‘LED C7 bulbs). They don’t get hot and use a lot less electricity. These LED bulbs do not work for the ones that have specific adapters. Also, I use the multiple sockets light strings so I don’t have too many plugs to deal with. Also, make sure you use the power strips with breaker. I got these from Amazon. Love them. Kimmy c thank you. Labor of love. You probably have more than me. Between the houses and people accessories, I have around 200 in this display. In my A Christmas Carol display, I have about 70-80 more. You can check out my A Christmas Carol display in my channel.

Thank you so much. That is actually a synagogue. It’s called ‘Central Synagogue’ from Christmas in the City collection. This year, it’s currently in my CIC display, which Is my tribute to NYC. I have posted the video on my channel.
what is the house with the animated people going around i around the Christmas tree and in a circle (2.24 and 2.45) in homes? Does Dickens have any other animated villages like this?
Thank you very much. Those lights were department 56. But I have also started using Lemax street lights as well. Be sure to come back later in the year for the video of another display. I’ll have Dickens out again this year.
Ahh. Due to some personal reasons, I won’t be able to do village this year. But I promised that I’ll be back next year with a lot bigger and better Dickens display.
Almost all your house face forward. Mix them up at different angles to get a more realistic looking town....You have a great concept though....Impressive.
