I absolutely loved Morocco! I took a three week solo trip to this beautiful country two years ago and had an absolutely amazing time. As a 22 years old female I fehlt always quite safe. I went to Marrakech, the Atlas Mountains, the Sahara desert, Essaouira and Tamraght. I even adopted a very sweet street cat there, who is living with me at home in Germany since. I’m planning on going to Morocco a second time next year!
I have been watching you for years, starting when I was just a new student dreaming of travelling. Your videos were the only ones that i loved! I quit watching youtube for a while but am happy to see youre still here and even organize many more grouptrips! Thanks for all your inspo
Georgia is beautiful! I think the hiker in you would love it. Highly recommend as a trip. And taking the night train from Tbilisi to Baku in Azerbaijan is an awesome experience, and Baku is a really cool city tool explore too!
I lovvvved Morocco! I went solo for 3 weeks in May of last year and visited Casablanca, Marrakech, Fes, Tangier, the Sahara Desert tour, Chefchaouen and Meknes! so many scary comments before and I'm glad I still decided to go!
This sounds epic!!! I'm leaving NZ this year and actually have booked EBC hike in April, I'm so, so, soooo excited! I've been wanting to do it for YEARS, but I couldn't really afford it, but now finally I can say I'm more financialy stable, so I can FINALLY tick it off my bucket list 🎉
I did Annapurna base camp with Life Himalaya Trekking and they were quite good. If I chose a guided tour I would go with them again but it would be my preference to self-guide my next trek now that I have some experience of the country as I prefer the freedom it allows. Nepal is a wonderful place. You may go for the mountains, but it's the people and their culture that make you want to stay. The country seems to be improving a little bit every day. It is also ridiculously easy to eat healthy there.
SO SO excited for you to go to Mauritania. I did a similar thing but with 1 local and 2 other crazy gals I met in Agadir, Morocco. Still working on that vlog because it’s a BIG project 😅
I just started the video but already the part about making a layover somewhere into part of your trip is how almost all of my trips happen 😂😂 nice easy way to pick a destination. I'm glad you're enjoying your time in Morocco!
Please don't tempt me with Thailand! Loved Koh Tao and Krabi last year! Hoping/planning to spend Christmas in Phi Phi diving! Looking forward to seeing you in Pakistan though!
Hey! Half Georgian from Germany speaking over here😊 While I definetly recommend going to Georgia because it´s a really great country especially for people who love hiking and being at the sea and eating yummy food (so kind of everyone I´d say😉), I wouldn´t recommend going in summer. Especially if you also want to go to Tbilissi, summer is just not the right time to go. It´s just hot and the air pollution in the city is quite bad so it´s not really enjoyable. The only thing that you should take into consideration is if you want to go to Tusheti. This region you can really only visit in summer and if you are able to, you definetly should because its soooo beautiful.
When someone travels threw many countries a year, I would believe and trust everything you are telling me, Always an awesome experience to witness these towns and cities, With an amazing and gorgeous host
Takes some close fitting googles to protect your eyes and also good fitting face masks. The iron ore train trip is quite dirty and when the train is in motion the air around you is often full on iron ore dust
Morocco was my first proper trip abroad when I was young with a missionary organisation working in orphanages there. As a pale hairy Welshman stepping into heat in the high 30s was a shock I can tell you
Visiting at least one new country a year sounds like a plan. From the Midwest US, my travel plans outside the US are a road trip to Canadian Prairies, European vacation to Netherlands, Belgium, and Denmark, and hostel adventures in Playa Venao (one familiar to Christianne and viewers) and Tel Aviv. The Mexican adventure would be amazing. Everest Base Camp and Fairy Meadows are already on the bucket list.
I can 100% recommend NoRoads expeditions, they are a small Australian company and Peter the owner is amazing to deal with. We have done Kokoda and the Komodo islands in Indonesia with them and plan to do a few more with them too. They may even be able to assist you with a reasonable flight home to Australia 😊 Ps your plans sound amazing and can’t wait for your videos ❤
I was in Morocco for 3/4 weeks in March 2022 and I'm not sure if it was cause it was JUST after the country opened back up after covid or if it's always like that, but I had A LOT of attention from the locals. It was worse when I was on my own opposed to when I was in a group of people and I found that the worst place for it was in Fes which was the first place I went haha! I'm glad you enjoyed your time there! Looking forward to seeing all your vlogs from this year!
i think most youtuber make more noise marketing for their hits up. but your channel BKB is very simple and pure. i love that so much. you have no over actions, no discord, no bombastic. So, i believe in you will very much bigger channel later. i wish good luck your team.
Regarding the EBC trek (which I wanted to do this April but sh*t happened here in Israel) - you can do it twice a year around October and around April-May. But as far as I know people make the actual clime to Everest only in April - pros: less trekkers on the paths, cons: you won't get to see the infamous yellow tents of the climbers getting ready for the big ascend so it's worth considering doing that trek in April I think. Hope you have a great year!
I did Everest Base Camp last year and it was one of the best experiences of my life (even though I got altitude sickness, along with half of our group!) I booked with G Adventures and highly recommend our guide Gelu Sherpa. It’s such an incredible place, definitely a once in a lifetime experience!
Did EBC two Octobers ago, went late October and the weather was absolutely gorgeous. Trekked with Adventure Mountain treks, very good team for a good price! They're local sherpas, unlike some of the other companies = cheaper and also more knowledgeable guide.
Christian, I saw you recording a video in Montenegro....what's the little device you use to record yourself? I'm taking a trip to Albania, Montenegro, and Macedonia, soon and would love to document my journey on video! Also, I absolutely love your videos! They are so informative!
The people who say don't go, know that they have never traveled. As for those who say beautiful things and encourage you, know that they are people who have actually traveled. They only read about places in groups or similar on social media sites, 99% of which are created by their imagination 🤞🤞💚💙❤💜🧡💛
I’m doing Everest Base Camp and Gokyo lakes in October 2024 as well! I’m doing it with Follow-Alice. Would be great to connect-up, but in any case, if I see you, will definitely say hi!
Without stating the obvious you are going to be paying a lot of money if you are leaving flights to Oz until the last minute - supply and demand - you need to be booking now - still reasonably priced. Family time is important so book now - no excuses if you want to be there over Xmas.
Of course ☺️ sadly with the nature of what I do however, it doesn’t make sense for me to commit this soon when my plans could completely change (then I’d lose a lot more money!) So I’m one of the ones that just has to pay more for the convenience of booking closer to the time
I'm going solo to Marocco in 2 weeks, going to do a surfcamp in Aourir. Suuuper curious and also a bit cautious because of stories I've heard. Do you have any tips for me? Hope you're vlogs will be up before I go!
Ive planned out dream Everest Base Camp trip for when my kids get older and I’ve looked into TONS of trekking companies. iTrek keeps coming back as a good one so I’ll probably go with them. The owners are amazing people too. Highly recommend looking them up
Hi everyone! Next month i’m leaving for my first time solo backpacking. Im going to central america for 4 months. Does anyone have any advice on how to get from nicaragua to guatemala? Ive heard bad things about having to cross honduras. Is a chicken bus save enough? Thanks to anyone who knows!
@@TheShauNanigansI put it together that it was the country when she started talking about the mountain range, but I did have double back for a second 😂😂😂
I was in Mexico, Oaxaca for a couple of months late 2023. Now flying to Thailand/Cambodia to finish the winter there. But I don't like to mingle with Anglo-Saxons, especially the young ones. So I promise I'll stay away from your groups.
Tbilisi is awesome - lots of cool cafes & bars, amazing food, a quality walking tour company, interesting architecture, a cable car, really walkable, I loved it! And for Everest base camp - @lucydavisfit did it last year and posted a video about it
