For those out there th's at think 308 is too slow, try the Barnes ttsx 130 grain. My 20" rifle shoots them over 3100 fps and it's an absolute hammer on deer. If you don't like copper, I'm sure the Nosler 125 bt would work as well, but the sectional density probably isn't great. Sectioanl density doesn't matter on Barnes as they will pass through regardless.
@@quarterminutemagnums I to but that is not that old of a box because I have most of the boxes federal used for that load no disrespect intended I appreciate what you do thanks,
I have rebarreled a .308 rifle in 6.5CM and I regret. I have tried so many components and loads but there are flyers all the time (about 0.75-1 Moa average 5shots geoups)
Wind does not effect 308 at 100. I have a custom 308 and 6.5 both shoot 1/2 Moa. If I put a tuner break on them they would probably shoot hole for hole. U must have bought that ammo about 30 yrs ago! Plus the 175 shot bad due to being cheap ammo! Lol
Stop cleaning the rifle! Your groups will tighten up. Shoot till your groups open up then clean the rifle. I have a ruger 6.5 I paid $404 that shoots less than 1/4" at 100 and 1 1/2 groups at 500 yards with factor Hornady match 140. I have 3 other stock rifles less than $600 with 1/4" groups at 100 yards. 7mm rem A bolt, 30/06 interarms, .223 Remington and a Bergara. 300 prc all Shoot better than that. Not impressed
