My 3rd Try at a Necron Army | Huge 40k Collection 

I’ve just come to say how much I love this channel. I’m a complete new comer, having just got back into the hobby after 15 years, and it’s great to find a happy channel that doesn’t take it too seriously and makes all aspects fun!

Most guys talk about their first serious girlfriend the way you talk about your Necrons.

The joy in that man's eyes as he talks about his creative processes and memories.

Sometimes the story or memory itself is worth the mini. Never remove that woodchip!

Love the woodchip with the Spyder. That "knot" is actually perfect for a blast mark, as if it took a shot that was aimed at the Spyder.

A lot of firsts in your Necron army and I absolutely love how well connected they all are, like the Flayed Ones, even with the massive time difference between your first ones and your most recent ones.

Got my nephew to start with Necrons this year after a visit to Warhammer World and got him painting his first 500pts so will be showing him this for sure. Your army looks great especially the HQ's and really like what you did with that stalker. Will remember that if he gets a second one.

As someone who decided to make Necrons my first Army just last week and am currently painting 56 models (badly), I am just in absolute awe. It helps that my favorite color is orange too. Just absolutely incredible work.

I'll be honest. Your love of necrons is what inspired me to build my own necron army. I already loved their aesthetic and lore. They were even the first models I built. My boyfriend got the indomitus box, and I helped him build the models so he could teach me how to play. They were so challenging for me, though, cause well fidly bits and modeling newb. But after coming into contact with your channel, I got the bug to finish building those indomitus necrons and paint them up in my scheme, and now I have nearly 3,000 pts of them. Including 60 necron warriors and the Silent King, and I'm excited for the challenge to paint him up. So, thank you for helping me find my army and even helping my painting skills blossom

So I just started my Necron army last night (my wife bought me them a while ago but have been sat in my cupboard till the old birthday yesterday). the Locust Destroyers is the ones you have aka the flying ones. though they have a Lord choice and now also the heavy locust destroyers. :) for other Destroyers we have the Skorpekh Destroyers that are the ones on 3 legs and with melee weapons, they also have a lord choice. then we have the Ophydian Destroyers that is basically the old Canoptec Wraiths in the looks but with no ranged weapons.

I’ve heard many people talk about 40K, but you’re the only one who has such genuine love and happiness in their voice and reminds me why I got into the hobby in the first place. Keep up the amazing videos!

I really need to finish my necrons. They are the first models I started after returning to the hobby after a 20 year hiatus. I might repaint them though as I experimented with vellejo metal colour with acrylic ink to stain it. It worked well enough, but I wasn't entirely happy with it and then ended up in hospital with a broken ankle, so haven't gotten any further work done since February. Hopefully over the next couple of weeks I will be able to get a area set up again for getting back to hobby stuff now we're starting to unbox everything after moving.

Nice army. Plague Bearers come with Nurglings on their sprues too you can turn into a base or two of them also.

Scarabs will probably always be the best shot for jumping on objectives

I too have *way too many* warriors and like 24 ish scarabs. I had picked up all three 9th edition starter sets as well as indomitus and then later had signed up for the imperium subscription which sent another 20 or 30 on top of the way too many I already had accumulated. I have absolutely no need for that many of them but dont have the heart to sell them either.

I would love to see a video of you spending the time to make those HQ units that much more special. I've picked a paint scheme for my army that is primarily white and would love to see how you created those gradients from black/dark grey to white.

You should get the silent kings and paint it up your scheme I think it would be a very neat vid and cool to see

Necron Warrior A to Necron Warrior B: Why are we only 80 we should be legion!! NW B: Nah 80 is Plenty besides our overlord needs time and dedication to send us to shovel out more of us. I mean I like being Immortal and the other benefits, but look all the sleeping we did and the work we need to do to now to pick up more of our brethren to unleash our true potential is a shitload of work and I am too lazy for it! NW A: Yeah it is a shitload of work but we are IMMORTAL means we have the eternity to unravel our true Potential and our overlord seems eager to increase our numbers so we can do more killing and chilling afterwards. Come my friend time to do some work we have time and patience on our side. NW B: True lets go and finish up more of our brethren.

Necrons were what got me into the hobby. I saw the original Necron Monolith in a friend’s White Dwarf and fell in love with it.

Ever thought of replacing the flight pegs with 3D printed wisps of energy maybe green and highlighted yellow

The Infinite Phalanx was an apocalypse datasheet that consisted of 10 units necron warriors that combined to form a single combined unit. Special rules: Fearless, relentless. If it contained more than 100 models it also had the Fear special rule. As long as the unit had 150+ models they reanimated on 3+ as long as there was 100+ models they reanimated on 4+. Also the unit had a unit coherency of 1''!!

Lokhust heavy destroyer, which is a powerfull version of the lokhust destroyer (the ones you have). They are not meant to replace these old destroyers, they are meant to be used as complement of an unit.

Looks like I'll be repainting my necrons and maybe stealing your scheme. I just have mine base coated with the metallic spray so I haven't wasted too much time but I love how the white just pops with the additional accents in bright colors. Nicely done!

The new flayed ones are so fragile. I have a squad of 20 I am pretty sure I have three or four total models that I haven't had to reattach at least one of their talons at least once.

One thing that I never really considered when I watched this video today was How do all of these minis get stored? I see the shelves in the back that hold a good amount, but there's gotta be some sort of god-tier storage setup for armies this massive in size and high quaility painted.

I'm finally finishing my Cron Army as well! Iv spent so much time with other select minis and just practicing painting and techniques that Iv neglected it for too long. Got about 4k points of models not even built and another 3k not painted.

I loved Necrons in DoW but how old their codex was at the time dissuaded me. I can respect the large infantry army. To me that's what 40k was, the current everything needs to have a big centerpiece model just doesn't feel the same. I'd paint all my random dudes like they were a hero model and I've yet to have a fully painted army lol

That's pretty impressive I've got a pretty big necron army my self it took me about 6 months to paint them all. I gotta tell ya though I'm happy with the outcome and the size I'm really only missing a few more more pieces and then I think I'll be able to tackle most opponents, or at least give them one hectic time winning 😂😂😂

if you are stil looking for the vert first models ... i have a mint necron lord, 1destroyer , 10 Warriors 4 scarabs and 2 immortals. the immortals stil in blister and 5 warriors in the original box.

I'm really curious about the Deathmark Conversion Theory haha. The one Deathmark in the picture has shoulders that has a visible connection point when glued. This happened to my harlequin troupes hah. Unless when you updated them you sprue gooed them or something. Also, the right leg is stepping forward, that could narrow it down too. Otherwise I love how these are painted. The highlight on the black armor plates is my favorite detail, really kicks up the interest.

Scarab swarms aren’t great but when a chronomancer throws the charge re-rolls and 5+ invuln on them they can be disruptive for a minute. I punked someone in combat by using the self destruct stratagem to kill the closest one and remove the rest from melee on their turn so I could unload all my firepower into their knight

A tip for airbrushing their eyes - use a liquid latex, like Vallejo Liquid Mask to cover their brows before airbrushing the glow, that way you keep the glow away from the tops of their faces so they don't look like pandas.

Onepagerules' scarab swarms are so good! My necron force is almost entirely OPR's robot legions, imho most of their sculpts are better than GW's but for the swarms there is absolutely no discussion

Necrons tens to grow on you. I had no interest in them until I read the Infinite and the Divine. Someone I know gifted me Trazyn and Orikan for my birthday so now I have a 500 or so points Nihilakh army being slowly built. Army n°4. The plastic crack meme is true.
