Yess! Often I don't think a chore should be done every week but I don't get to do all such things as a monthly reset (I would hate them instead of loving them as I do now :D) -- will definitely try splitting these chores into weeks A and B! Thank you!!
Absolutely incredible. LOVE the chore check list split into "A weeks" and "B weeks"... THAT is something that will totally and realistically WORK for me me!!! THANK YOU AMY. Subscribed! 😊
Amy landino this was incredibly useful. Changing habits that last takes time and consistency- but totally possible! Thank you for keeping it real and genuine.
I watched this video after seeing your MAP video and I love your practical advice. The A and B Week chore schedule is definitely something I can implement in my planning that would be super helpful! Your section on “When things don’t go to plan” was really thought provoking, too. Having systems in place to fall back on is a major key 🔑 and we also have to give ourselves a bit of grace when life throws us curve balls! Great video!
This is awesome!!! I juggle a lot as a stay-at-home mom and a homeschooling mom, so I have a weekly planning session every Saturday morning. I had to split it into what I plan each week (like your A&B cleaning schedule) bc some things take longer to plan than others. As a tip, I have weekly cleaning on my to-do list but if curveballs come then I just skip that week. I also have those chores split over certain days so that if one day ends up being a crap shoot then my cleaning for that entire week doesn’t go up in flames, it’s just whatever I had planned that day. And some weeks I just don’t have the time to do any cleaning that week. There’s things you can look at in your schedule that you don’t “have to” do but “want to” do. I’m OCD and LOVE LOVE LOVE a “clean” space, but sometimes I just have to be ok with a picked-up space.
⚠️Me too! I love a cleaning space but in my case I don't like to do it 😅 So I started a minimalism lifestyle to reduce the life-time spent of my life doing those chore activities. Now all is more much fast, cheap and simple. Hope this tip can help you.
Loved the chill vibes of this video, sometimes when talking about productivity I might feel overwhelmed, but you explained everything calmly, slowly and softly that I had the time to digest it.
This was a wonderful video! I sit at my bathroom vanity for planning and you said several things that I wanted to write on my mirror for motivation that I lost count! Lol new school year coming up with my 4 kids and this video made me less overwhelmed and confident. It was super needed! Thank you!
Amy, this video is fantastic! Would you consider sharing a routine on how to stay motivated and focused working from home? I feel like I get everything prepped for the week, and then I sit in my home-office and find it hard to stay focused
I relate so much to putting staples/pillars in your schedule to feel more in control … I’m going to bet I’m not as good as you are at actually executing that strategy 🤣 but that’s why I’m here. LOL love your time management vids!
I tend to be very all-or-nothing, not in a defeatist / perfectionism way, but if I let one thing slip through the cracks, it starts to feel like it would fine to let a few more things slip... Then it's all back to chaos. 😅 So I sit down to plan my week every Sunday as a way of hitting the "fresh start" button and looking for any places I might have let get out of control...
Such a practical and effective approach! The A and B week schedule is genius, and your tips on staying consistent are so relatable. Your videos always provide actionable advice that I can implement right away. Thanks, Amy! 💪📝
Haha for some reason I was more focused on the music in the background 😂 I appreciate the video and the info but man I just love sax and jazz so much that I usually zone out with that type of music. I had to pause for a minute to regain focus on the content itself 😅 loving the overall vibe 😊
I think viewing not following through on a goal or habit (ie exercising or staying on a nutritional plan, etc) as a system and/or environmental issue rather than a personal problem is way more self-compassionate and ultimately way more productive and impactful when trying to correct. ❤
Love this thank you Amy. On reflection the season I am in right now has meant I have lost my way a little, but I am also overscheduling and expecting too much from myself. I need to keep it simple!
I make my own calendar and I also have a section with my credit card charges and my checking account balance so that I have a constant reminder of how much I've charged and how much the balance in my checking account is to cover my expenses. As a rule I keep 2 months of expenses in my checking account anything over 2 months gets invested in the middle of the month. CD's, right now can pay 6 percent for 8 months and I bonds for longer term.
I have been searching for simple planning hacks/habits etc for the past year and until I ran into this video I said to myself let me give this another shot, you woke up the planning girl in me again! Thank you! Can you please link your menu board I love it

I usually do not comment on your videos 'cause they are so very clear and I don't need to ask anything. But this time I must ask: what is the brand of the pens you use? I absolutely love the writing. ❤
I like planning and it helps, just normally once per three weeks oI am totally out of planning and just don’t want to do anything…😢 any advices for such days?
Ok 3 things, 1. You look gorgeous in this video! (I mean you do in every video…but love your hair in this one!) 2. What is that comfy-looking pink sweatshirt you’re wearing and the planner you are using?!! They both look like I need to have those in my life. 😂 3. I really appreciate your videos. There are a lot of creators I would love to watch but they either talk so fast or all over the place and fill the video with unnecessary info. As someone with severe ADHD, it makes it extra hard for me pay attention to the content when they are blabbing about nothing on top speed and minus points if their voice is screechy. I’m convinced it’s a slightly autistic trait I have dealing with overstimulation and irritability, but regardless, something about your voice (the steadiness and clear pauses to slow it down and speaking with conviction) makes me glued to every video I watch. 😂 You could be giving horrible advice and I’d be like “yeah! Let’s do it!” right after the video ends. LMAO AAAANYWAY…thank you for all your effort in your content and making all your videos laser and to the point but still entertaining. Even if the topic isn’t something I can benefit from directly, I still end up watching because it’s good info to someone I can pass along. Cheers!!!!🖤🖤🖤
Wait, so if deadlines and appointments go into your priorities list for the day, and you say you have 3 prio slots, does that mean you have less than three meetings/deadlines a day?! If so, how is that possible? Or am I missing something?
Thank you for this! My question is how do you communicate your plans to your partner? I like the board but do you also do a check-ins with partner like check-ins with self?
Absolutely. Since he's part of the process, we have to touch base about it regularly to see how things are working. We respect the other person for the lead they take in different areas of our lives. We talk about it all the time so that we can evolve as each planning session occurs.
@@AmyTV thank you so much! I find that constant communication is essential. I admit I had done planning in my own head and totally missed out in looping in the other. Is there a past video or could there be a future video on communication with partner or family or your village?
When I saw you typing "Daddy on Duty" on your e-calendar, a question popped into my head... Why is she typing an event that happens frequently? Doesn't she know that she can duplicate events and then adjust them by just dragging them to the correct time? Hmmm? 🤔. 💖🌞🌵😷
same, I have kids who like going in and out, animals including a dog that has to go out no matter the weather, etc, I could sweep the floor 3 times a day and it still looks like it was neglected and I try to mop daily, if I only cleaned my floors once every 2 weeks it would take all day to try to get them clean because they would be nasty. This schedule is ALOT simpler than anything that would work for us
Thank you for making this video. Most of it is really encouraging and helpful. But the very last part strikes me as a bit oversimplified. It’s true that planning is good, but EVERY human has times where things don’t go as planned. Sometimes this is because of factors we control, and sometimes it’s because of factors we don’t. The advice you’re giving comes off a bit like “ugh just plan MORE”, which, in my opinion, doesn’t solve the issue. It’s great that we get to see you having things together and successfully planning. But it’s not like if you say that life can be unpredictable and that you don’t have everything together all the time, we’ll all go “SEE? PLANNING IS CRAP!” You can advocate for planning while also admitting that no human can plan for everything.
Did I imagine it but or this woman say she hires someone to go grocery shopping for her? Can't she be bothered to drive to the supermarket when her hubby is (presumably) at work and the child is in daycare (or wherever)? I'm literally speechless.
Very interesting, but this is another video with a voice which doesn’t seem natural. The coffee voice. Difficult to focus on what you say. However, sometimes, we can hear your natural voice.
