This has nothing to do with poverty but more to do with greed. They aren’t the only ones suffering with poverty, most of them just want quick money and don’t want to take small small jobs and wait for a better days to come. That is why even when they get small jobs, they steal from the owners and even do all sorts of rituals to take the job away from the owners.
