Hello this is a short video about my 1996 GMC OBS truck and the future videos to come on it please leave me a comment below if you have any questions. Thanks
I've always been a Mopar guy, but I have found myself really wanting one of these trucks. Your truck is about what I pictured of what I'd want to do to one. Your truck is very nice!
"These trucks are extremely hot right now" THAT'S a SERIOUS understatement. If you have one, you're blessed! Had mine for 28 years. Your truck looks great bro. 👍 I subbed
My dads uncle bought his brand new in 1989 then went to my dad in the early 90’s and I grew up in the passenger side. It was sitting for 5 years n my dad didn’t want it no more I said I always wanted to restore it as it brings good memories, well now it’s mine and I. Was gonna go 100% oem restored but I have a LS3 and the truck already has a new 700r so I am gonna lower it with some wheels.
Sweet truck, Got to chat with you about it at C10 Nationals this year. So many content creators turn out to be snobs at shows but you talked to me for 30 minutes about this truck. Super cool dude. I’ll be watching.
Working on restoring my 90 right now. I love what you've done with your truck. I'm torn between a boosted lq4 or an all motor lq9 with a healthy cam, heads, and intake. Leaning more toward N/A at the moment. I'll sub for more content on the truck. 👍
Whats the measurements for the truck from the floor to the bottom of truck ? I’m asking because I want to know if I have a 4/6 drop , and your looks way lower then mine . If you can help me with that , that would be great thanks
Love the truck building one extremely similar myself. I'm surprised by your horsepower number with a 408. Richard holdner's Channel he tested a 6.0 with Trailblazer intake truck Norris cam headers no accessories electric water pump 520 crank hp. And everybody always says take 100 hp off at the wheel. I guess that's not accurate? Or yours has much in it, should be able to be around 475 at wheels with good low end type cam and up from there. If 100 off was/is accurate. 👏👍
@@AllTimePerformance well actually, the Boost mirrors what you have naturally aspirated. You can safely run 20 lb of boost on a junkyard stock crank block and rods 706 heads on a 5.3 but I sure don't know everything, I imagine with dished more than to say an lq4 piston and you could run some seriously higher boost than 20 lb if you wanted. Cant wait till mine is as purdy as yours, I'm liable to sleep underneath it first couple days after it's painted. 👍
@@kevinwest3689 Yeah my compression ratio is a little lower than a LQ4. I Just know my engine builder gapped the rings for 20lbs and he said the motor would out live the truck in tunned properly. I cant say the same for a stock junk yard LS. A stock LS on 20lbs is on numbered days.
@@AllTimePerformance I've never heard of gapped for a certain level of boost but I'm still learning. I would like to disagree with your tuner but I'm not even a tuner, the gap between my ears could probably handle at least 50 lb of boost lol
@@kevinwest3689 LOL cleetus has some videos where they did some experiments with sock iron block LS they were lucky to get 5 pass out of them before the blew up.
