I have that motor and the one thing I will say is check the valve lash. Ran fine one day went to work the following day and would not start. Had to reschedule with customer; went home and found the valve lash was out. Adjusted it with feeler gauge and bingo bango engine started back up and runs great. The valve lash is in the manual for that motor.

I’m new (like so many). I’ve watched a lot of videos and this setup makes perfect sense. Using the pressure reel as a holder for 50’ segments solves some of my concerns. My pickup has a 6.5’ bed and I’m still trying to decide between a bed slick or trailer. I cleaned a house this week where the homes were so close it would’ve been impossible to park a trailer, but I know a trailer offers more room. My current rig is a Simpson Honda 390/ Cat 4 GPM.

Nice lettering and build ,congrats bro 🙌 Simple is Easier I believe in a lot of cases 👍 Also, I have one of my trailers that I do not connect the hoses up either and it does make it last longer I believe, good stuff bro keep up the great work!🤜🤛

To be honest, I wish i stayed with my old small trailer build i had when i first started out, The new 16ft trailer i built is great but its a real pain sometimes. And I never had any real issues with the small trailer, easy to get into small tight places, easy to maneuver in town, just small, simple and a breeze to work on or work with.

I have that same tan hose reel from Tractor Supply! I get what you are saying about not using the reel to pump water... but technically even when those parts fail the reeling mechanism isn't really damaged any way. At least that's what I think. None of my reels have failed yet fingers crossed.

If I cannot find a long bed truck I plan to use my 4 by 8 Is trailer from Harbor freight, the heavy duty one,To keep my water tanks and everything else I can fit on it

I like the idea of not running pressure hose through reels also. As you said just pull off what hose you need. Also I think hose reel cuts the water flow

That’s a sweet trailer build! I’m just getting started in my pressure washing business and starting to pick up equipment. What pressure washer did you start with? How long did that tractor supply hose reel last you?

Started with Simpson 4200psi/4gpm Honda engine, GP Hammerhead surface cleaner, which I still use as well. The water supply hose real is still holding up but it’s getting really loose. So I’d say it’ll Last about a year. I spray WD40 on the bearing surfaces from time to time. I also rinse and garage my trailer so things last a bit longer.

Same ( just getting started ) I picked up a 4400 psi 4gpm unit also got a 16 BE whirl-away surface cleaner, but no trailer yet just my suv unfortunately lol. But it's building. Landed a nice house wash/drive way today. $1300 bucks

If you put apple wash in the sh the red dye will go away. The scent mask and soap aspect will remain

Downstreaming is my soft wash. I use M5 twist and Davis shooter nozzles

How do you figure out if the pressure washer with surface cleaner is going to be too abrasive on conrete.

I’m not sure what you’re asking. But the surface cleaner size should be no more than 4 times the gpm of the machine. Example: 4gpm machine 16” surface cleaner. The tips of the surface cleaner determines the pressure and pattern. You can also use a gauge and reduce or increase the pressure from the machine.

Are u using a 12 volt pump to pull from the buffer tank on the 4gpm machine

I only have the buffer tank attached to my 6.5 gpm gear drive pump. I run water from source to 4gpm machine.

@@dirtblasterspowerwashing if I’m not mistaken, unless the 4gpm machine is gear drive or belt drive which most aren’t, they are direct drive , it won’t pull from the buffer tank unless you add a 12 v pump. I think.
