You’ll bounce back dude, we’re all rooting for you and the E30! I’d say just replace the turbo first and see if it helps since you need a new one anyway. Good luck!
Don't stress buddy might be just the turbo , your theory of the turbo smoking inside the engine may be right , still love the videos and if u have up rebuild it we gonna still enjoy the content , keep us updated , and good luck
@@pullyoursocksup6302 they do though. blowing the seals would force oil and smoke into the intake system and because of the way his catch can is connected, it would vent the smoke out of it.
@@boostedoctane8041 Not at all, it forces oil and smoke exhaust side. The intake side is never pressurized and always has a slight vacuum if anything. The engine would be consuming any smoke/oil that came through to the cold side. Think about it, that’s the side the engine breathes from.
So sad, but you knew it was eventually going to happen. I've made mistakes just like that and I gotta say you always come back better. Living and learning along the way just makes you better at what you do. That's part of being a diy car enthusiast! I know it sounds bad, but I'm excited to see what went wrong with it. Can't wait to see a teardown!
I don't know if your doordash account has a referral code but if you have one you should put it in the description or mention it in the video. I am thinking about doing door dash one day because it looks fun and it's some extra money to be made.
@@dackjazy2661 Im not 100% sure but this youtuber put his referral code in his yt vids and ig too many people used the referral code and they banned him
With the way that the E30 rads are setup they are supposed to be self-bleeding as there’s a port that goes from the highest point in the rad/cooling system to the expansion tank. The way you’re bleeding it is incorrect. Just open the expansion tank cap and let ur car run for a while and it should bleed by itself.
Not sure if anyone has recommended this but a vacuum bleeder is very worthwhile if you plan on doing cooling system stuff. Makes it so easy on these old bmws.
that’s the turbos life, not too much pressure or throttle its just the turbo cant do more maybe the quality of turbo, the engine sounds good, not knocking and it have pressure bro.. keep coming dont throw it to the trashhh💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Mashimarho sells leather dye kits if you wanna try that out and do a review it’s not too too much money and keep pushing bro. You handled this way better than anyone else would.
damn so it looks that when the pistons had too much oil in them it caused the head gasket to blow meaning your turbo had to work too hard and the turbine inside wore out due to you not filling it with proper oil and i have no idea what im talking about
Hey man, if you need to open the expansion tank when it's hot you can just put a thick cloth over the opening so it doesn't come spewing out and splattering in your face. You need to watch out with the hot water in the cloth as well though, because it will be very hot as well. Love your build :)
Sorry to hear about your car😕, I figured I’d just say that I find your videos really interesting and your somebody who really made me want an e30, and I just got one! I’m also from CT, and at 17, I can’t think of a cooler car to have
Haven’t finished the video yet but good luck bro I just blew my N54 and I know how it feels it’s an opportunity to make it faster and better all around
Bro I love your car, I got a nb miata recently I’m so happy with it and you’ve inspired me to try and rebuild the engine my self and learn the car more, money is tight but I’m gonna save up to make it a dream ride
You may regret doing the black interior on a black car when summer comes. My Mazda is like that and it gets very hot. I couldn't imagine having leather seats too.
Yea coolant does its job in two ways, lowering freezing point and raising boiling point. Boiling the coolant system is a bad time. On to better things!
man it sucks to see it die but also im excited to see new videos of you fixing it new subscriber here lots of love for ur channel from canada was binging it haha good luck man!
Thats for sure rod knock or piston failure. Turbos usually don´t sound like rod knock... That maxspeedingrods Turbo, I would change for a XY Turbocharger.
You should film yourself doordashing in your focus, since the the doordash videos get a lot of views. It can fund for a new turbo/engine rebuild too lol (Hopefully turbo)
your better off putting a mix of coolant in as it lowers the boiling temp and the operating temp is about the same as normal water and will boil the water creating air which is why you have to bleed it and dont overfill expantion tank when its hot because there will be more water when its cold
Hey man it happens to all of us! Thank god you weren’t in the middle of an order like me lmao. About 2 weeks ago I was doing an Instacart order in my daily and I loaded everything up into the car and when I went to start it my trans was completely shot. The thing wouldn’t even go in reverse and in drive it went a whopping 10mph lmao so I had to have someone come lend me there car so I could finish the order and I was super late to the drop off. Everything happens for a reason and we will definitely bounce back stronger bro keep your head up!
and some saLmon lolol. Oh baby she rips on that freeway pull, rip though :( I always feel bad dashing in my fun car but when the weather is good outside I can't help it gotta let her breathe lol
I hate doing Wal-Mart orders lol Man watching you just sitting in your car at the end and not being able to drive made me a lil sad. You was having fun mobbing around doing DD and then that happens. Hope to see her back on the road soon.
to me getting a shop will take some of the relatability of someone doing cool stuff in a small home garage and struggling too, like me for instance, with all these youtubers with crazy shops and crazy cars and builds and is cool and props to them but, it's just not relatable to someone that like cars and isn't in that kinda position, and let's face it a majority of us are NOT in that kinda position. dude that sucks, that seems like ring land and the cause is too much boost with stock internals, good luck dude i'm sure she's gonna comeback even better. cheers
I hate to say it but that was alot of smoke coming from the breather and the bottom end sounded noisey to me could be wrong though best get a compression test done I hope the engine isn’t blown but the fact it’s missing makes me think the worst I hope for the best for you👍🏻
i think one of your rods or cylinders are fried. I dont miss those problems at all. But you can fix anything my g, I sold my 2001 330ci and bought a truck. now i can act my age. boomerville for me! XD
