Honestly, I just started watching your channel and am extremely proud of you. My only issue here is safety, pls staying in a coconut hut is okay but pls don't keep your passport or any valuable items in that place so as to not attract criminals. There are good and bad people in Ghana as well. As a Ghanaian I will not advice staying in the hut at night, pls find a temporary place to live for your safety until your house is completed. In America, you know we have inspections, closing attorneys, land surveys etc. Do your due diligence. Even in America, we have to secure our bricks, Materials etc.

Leslie, are you planning to build on this isolated land anytime soon? As with new subdivision locations even in the US, you need to coordinate with other neighbors to build at the same time for security.
Checks are not a thing here. Most people do not have bank accounts. I only get receipts from businesses. If not, I use what they call momo money. That automatically generates receipts and emails it to you.
Don't let them take your soil and dirt. That is money and they will be stealing from you. Pay attention to what they are doing unless you want them to take it away. You can use that soil for may purposes later.
I am impressed with what you are doing but living in the coconut hut is not safe. Anything could happen to you and then what happens to the dream? Find an Air BNB somewhere safe so you can have a good sleep.
