Come along with me as I show you my 68 International Loadstar build; see how I built it, see my shop, and get to know me , and talk about this channel and the future of it as well.
It goes without saying, but remarkable job man. Love this build and love that you just made it work to get it on the road and enjoy it. Too many people let projects and money rot because they are worried about getting it perfect the first time.
You should be super proud of your accomplishment , that truck is a sweet looking ride ... I've always loved those old Loadstars ! I don't know if I'm more jealous over the shop or the truck lol! You got yourself a new subscriber ... God bless.
Very nice, don’t apologize for using rustoleum the only reason it’s cheap is because they make millions of gallons of it. I use it on everything and it outperforms most of the high dollar frame coatings
thanks for sharing your beautiful trucks ,garage and tools cool welder table .i love to have an old int'l with a 12v but dont have physical or monetary capabilities .GOD BLESS
Adam, I love this truck. I came over here from IG. Thanks for putting this video together. I like how you did the doghouse, raised rear frame and the core support. Also you have an awesome shop, I like the layout. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do next with it
This popped into my feed this morning. Such a cool project. It’s not perfect but who cares! Ignore the haters cuz they come out of left field sometimes! Keep recording and show more, cuz you’re gonna build quite a following if you do. Nice work making it your own! Love keeping old rigs out of salvage yards! 🙌🏼
If i would have had my way 40yrs ago i would have had the first one of these hit the road. I've been thinking for years now to build me a toy myself but never have. Got married had kids never made the time to build one.
Man this is awsome!! I absolutely love the truck! You did a killer job on it! I want to do something similar but with a 2010 blue bird bus that I have 6.7l isb with a 5 speed allison and i have a 1970 ford f500 that was my grandfather's that he bought new. I want to put an old u haul box behind the cab that has the over cab section onit would be similar to Cory's tool truck build that he has to use as a totter to pull my camper and haul my other trailers during the summer months. Your build is great inspiration for me! I havent started on my build i still need to convince my wife which thats not going well lol.
Absolutely a great video! You’re a natural at walking through your projects and a good pace. I’m building a few trucks on my channel, so it was nice to see/learn more about the bigger trucks. I’m also in Indiana; I believe only an hour or so away from Cory and Hanna. Hope to meet you guys one day!
Nice job on the barn and the build of the International, that's one of my favourite body styles, but the truck is what I call a real hot rod, hand built and as they say its good enough for who it's for, if you love it, who cares what anyone else thinks, but cracking job.
Looks great. Im taking my 72 1600 and going to keep it on the stock frame, and turbo the 345 with sniper efi. Take the dump bed off and fabricate a period correct looking step side bed.
That's a badass truck and you did an awesome job, I'm doing something similar but with a 49 Chevy truck cab so I know the amount of time and work it takes, anyway again awesome job and thanks for sharing
Badass truck! Ive been saying for 2 years i want to do a loadstar build. MN dont have too many clean ones around let alone worth the money people ask for a rotted one. Ill get to one soon though! Definitely subscribed to see more.
Love that truck!! I'm in middle of very similar build! Would like a common rail/6-speed combo, but just came across a 12valve with updated 5-speed in a donor truck... going on a 1600 loadstar with 40k original miles
Nice job. Weighing doing my own Loadstar build, but on a GM (Silverado/Sierra C3500) chassis (I'ma GM guy), so I'm looking for tips/inspiration/convincing I can do it. I did my own ground up build on my '83 square body (LS swap, lowered, brakes, everything is modern except frame), so this would be a next level build for me. I weld a little, rebuild engines, etc (everything but A/C and transmissions). Might take me a year or so, but I'm drooling to have one of these.
I would really like to use the same tail lights for my build. Can you point me in the right direction? I’ve searched for hours with no results. Keep up the amazing work!! Thanks.
Can you tell us about your international truck and Where did you buy that truck at and how long took you to build that if you have a video about that truck built just asking my friend
No one short of Jesus Christ himself knew where or what they could do. I was a kid in the fifties handing tools to dad in the shop and just grew up with it. I think your loaded with talent and did subscribe because of it. I myself am in very poor health and no longer get to play in a shop. I live in alaska where lots of restrictions just don't happen here. Since your married, get that girl in the shop and let her learn with you as a family that plays together stays together. Most girls finally learn to bait their own hooks when you take them fishing. I watch a channel called adventures made from scratch that just makes me cringe when he as a owner of a junk yard cuts up these fine old rigs... just for wall art. Trucks are the next big thing to build as you must follow some channels yourself. Just cutting the nose off of a truck for wall art seems such a waste for rigs that can be built well like your own rig. He is in western kansas and so gets some really nice rigs, does sell parts but he just doesn't get the meaning of saving rigs.... No one can save them all yet they don't make these anymore either. I tended to stay away from computers but anyone can change their way of doing stuff. Just do it your way and haters be darned.
I didn’t do anything to the dodge suspension but I noticed the back leafs had drop shackles that were on it when I got it so idk if the front springs were different as well or not
I drove one of those in the day with a Detroit 2 stroke with a 2 speed axle, they did not turn for shit old steering had no turning radius at all manual steering and a big bench seat about 3 ft thick very no frills all metal dash and cab. And that 2 stoke rings through that metal cab your ears would ring at the end of the day, that truck worked you, you didn't work it.
I would have built a removable dog box inside the cab to do engine work . As a mechanic I can see this a nightmare to access everything. But to each their own.
