It boggles my mind for how much money Felix makes. How many crazy expensive things he can buy but here he is with his modest, humble set up. A simple desk. Simple screens. Simple shelf. Simple everything. There's no flexing of wealth. There's no "omg look at all this stuff i own". I watch any other youtuber that does this type of video and I feel like im being talked down to. Why do you feel like you are being talked down to… pewds enjoys smth more minimalistic I understand, those other youtubers prefer something more not for the price pr flex of wealth they just want to have the best available (monitor desk etc..) if i could afford it i would for example get one of those one piece wooden slab desks that are so nice… there is this yt that makes them sometimes they have those rivers of resin painted blue… looks so cool… and I really like setups like that… if i could afford it get it it wouldn’t be flexing… (also I would buy some nice editions of the books i like even ones i have already read like pewds at 19:10… so much thing you could do…

You could remove the closet doors and have it as a "walk in" shelfing area. It would help connect the gym area too, could store some of the gym stuff in the closet. Get some bands or different lifting accessories hanging. Also would allow you to put the gym mats down without the door

For the speaker blocking the door problem, you can install a sliding door instead of the regular one, it won't be blocked as much, it's a nice small build project and japanese aesthetic very nice

You’re right, eggshell foam does basically nothing. It dampens some of the high range frequencies, but leaves the rest of the them to go wild. Most bedrooms have low/mid range issues and getting rid of the high end just makes them more pronounced. If you get what they call “full broadband” acoustic treatment you can get a somewhat tamed room. you’re right again a broadcast microphone like the EV mic you’re using has great ambient rejection and as long as it’s close to your mouth you won’t hear much of the room as shown in this video.

There's room eco that is really noticable in the video. You should look into do some stealth sound dampening. It would also help alot with improving the sound from the speakers.

Really good rack + good adjustable bench and some dumbbells is really all you need. And that set up is sick, except for main monitor. Non-ultrawide curved monitor kinda doesn't make sense at all. And those speakers also don't really make sense, at least not if you use them for the computer. Get something like Genlec one or two and use stands to elevate them above the monitors if your desk doesn't have space. It's not that they are too expensive, it just will not give good results even if they are in this setup.

I like this setup. It's clean and sleek, and allows flexibility for future upgrades. You could do more for the room using some strategically placed artworks than using sound-proofing, and there is amazing art in Japan that would complement the room. But obviously you've put a heck of a lot of thought into the layout, because it works so well.

The taste on every single part of the room is amazing, it really reflects your personality. With the doors I had a similar issue with the space on the closets in my house so I change them for sliding doors, I believe that could also help you with the space and maybe if you use sliding doors with a japanese style this might help to the aesthetic of the room too.

Love the balance between being a minimalist and not wasting space. So many people just put one thing across an entire wall and then never use it because its too empty and awkward. Also love the timid hands behind the back like hes showing his mom that he cleaned his room.

I would recommend, if you have the time and tools, you can install a sliding door 11:00 for that storage closet, so you don't have to worry about the space for opening it.

For a very rich person, that is a very humble set up. I like how pewds is content with his own setup. This is as an example that it doesn't have to be so grand and posh all the time. As long as you like it and you are satisfied with it then that is the best set up. KUDOS TO YOUR SET UP PWEDS! It's cozy and it's you.

@@aminbajrektarevicab I felt it when he said it was always a dream to have good speakers, if I have enough money I would buy them 100% because I too have the same dream... cheap speakers suck lol overall he acknowledged that they were expensive and it doesn't really matter tbh since we gamers use headsets 99% of the time so speakers aren't a thing we include in our setup but ig he wanted it so he could listen to music while building his Gundams or something so I don't think the comment is wrong because we don't include speakers in the setup

The Barbell cover for squats actually messes up your squat form more than it protects your skin. The bar isn't supposed to sit on your neck when you squat and if it hurts to squat heavy, then you know the bar is too high up your neck and it supposed to sit more on the highest part of your back (don't know what that area is called)

The sound proofing is a real thing, it absorbs unwanted echoes. But if you got a bookshelf, matta på golvet, and a little bit of furniture, maybe a frame of Edgar on the wall. It disperses the sound. So It's fine. And also, if the mic has low gain and you're close to it, it doesn't always pic up the echo in the room.

1:06 The foam padding on the walls are meant to stop reflections and yes, they're useless in this instance. Those pads would help a Sound Engineer doing critical work. The difference won't be noticeable on a microphone recording youtube videos😂
