I brought a cayenne 3.2 for the very same reasons and its served me well now for 5 years. Only thing I would advise lift the drivers and passenger front carpets up and feel for any dampness. The sponge will hold water that eventually eat into the electrics. If this happens it will cause the car to shut off as all the main electrics for the electronic steering rack runs down the passenger side. If you feel water 💦 take the rubber drain plugs out and leave them out.
@@reviewmaster4x467 Thank you. Glad to hear it served you well for that long. I am hoping to keep this one long term. My last “sensible” car stayed with me 12 years until ULEZ forced me to sell. When I bought the Cayenne, it had sat for a bit and was quite damp, but I quickly sorted that out and dried it out all while I had the passenger seat lifted to do the battery. Took about a week of changing microfibres under there and leaving windows open in my indoor carpark to dry it out. 👌🏼
Nice car. I had a 955 3.2 nearly a decade ago that I sold off not long after but now have a 09 957 3.6L for the past 2.5 years. Black on Black with 21'' Sport Rims. Looks so good. Ive done 44k kms since I got it and it's been reliable. Im actually looking to buy a 957 turbo now possibly a 955 if its immaculate but most likely a 957 because the newer the car the better condition it is usually overall. Anything 120k kms -160 k kms would be ideal. Dont want to get one that has too high ks as I dont want it to be a crazy money pit so rather spend more upfront getting a better example. I almost bought a black 957 turbo with only 135k kms for 19k Canadian with rare chestnut interior but couldn't insure it literally due to it being imported from Japan so I had to pass. My insurance provider couldn't insure the car since the VIN was imported from a different country. Weird. Sucks It seemed to be in great condition asides from the trunk struts needing to be done and sagging headliner but it was taken care of mechanically. So the search continues. Has to be black or the dark green metallic which is quite rare and hoping for the beige interior but I wouldn't pass on another black interior if everything else checked out good.
