It’s the “FINALLY someone without a midwestern or valley girl accent” sentiment. There’s so few American accents that Americans actually like hearing lol
As a Texan with what people say is a strong accent, I think that the Yorkshire accent is genuinely the most adorable and sexy accent there is. I could listen to it all day 😄
We need: Friends In Low Places by Garth Brooks and Fishin' In The Dark by Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. The old ones would be gold. Boot Scoot Boogie. She's gotta put out a challenge for Americans to do English ones to be fair though. (Not me though, I volunteer all of y'all 😂)
I feel that this was his only song because it is the only one that is ever played, and I wish it would be played again. I know why he has been quiet, and I am glad.
The video literally said, "American Accent. " We had already accepted umbrella terms as a concept for this conversation. The time to bring this point up was when they said, "American Accent, ".@@Alberto_Barbosa
Oh definitely. For me folk songs are about the few that I get away with for a Scottish accent. Most times I actually flip into rp British or American to sing, can't speak in the accent though but I naturally flip when singing. I do singing lessons though so it's probably linked to imitation and how I pronounce vowels to more easily reach certain notes etc.
@uhohhotdog I'm from the US and I'm pretty good at identifying British dialects. Some of them at least. East London is very easy to hear, as is Yorkshire. I can usually spot a Geordie dialect, and the proper upper class London accent is I think universally recognized. The received pronunciation and all.
people will write songs that sound good when they sing them, so when words are pronounced differently it will change how the song sounds, i think there are songs that would work with many accents tho
Ooh, id love to hear Adele in a Yorkshire accent. We get used to brits singing in an American accent, but with Adele, the contrast between her speaking and singing accent is so striking. Spectacular, the way she transforms into an American diva
@@xriftwho5940 it's really not. It is absolutely awful. I know you can't help it, but at least don't claim that it's awesome 🤣🤣 it is absolute ear cancer
Now i want a compilation of covers done in strong accents different than that of the original song and do not match the vibe of the song at all! I think that would be pretty awesome! 😂😂😂
As an American from Texas, with a regional East Texas accent, the York accent works with American country music because our accent evolved from your accent ❤
Fun fact! Most Americans that live in the uk are in Yorkshire thanks to memworth hill, which is a American missile early warning system that is run by Americans to the point of driving on the right within the base and using the dollar in all stores. It’s a great place and being from Harrogate which is the closest city I often visit this base for work. Great guys with a good attitude :)
