Hi!!! This is my accepted art and fashion design portfolio to FIT, Parsons, and others as well as advice as to how to curate the portfolio application!

Amazing portfolio! Very cool information for my appliances as well, even though I'm from Argentina (which I believe makes it easier to apply to our institutions since we are not much of a fashion oriented country) this still helped me a lot. Thx and good luck!

Hi thank you this is great info May I ask Where did you buy your sketchbook also how did you submit all of these designs etc is the portfolio all in one or was each component submitted separately
They were all submitted separately, when you submit your portfolio it has you submit each artwork on its own. I got my sketchbook from moleskin but any book will work
hi i dont understand very well. If you want to apply to parsons for fashion, do you have to show some fine arts pieces? Like i dont understand very well what it has in common with fashion. By the way i love your portfolio you are really talented🫶
how much experience do you have in fashion design?? I’m like a senior and barely know how to make garments 😭😭. The schools I’ve talked to though have told me I don’t need a lot of sewing skills and would focus more on the creative aspect kinda like what you said with parsons, but at the same time looking at your portfolio it seems like you already know a lot of technical skills as well. I was just wondering if you feel like the technical skills or creative skills were stronger and which one helped your portfolio more
I've been sewing since I was 8 so my technical skills are pretty advanced, that being said a lot of my peers came to school not having sewing skills. For Parsons, I know it's different for each school, they want to see the creativity in a portfolio (some schools like FIT look a lot at construction)
Hey i have a question,, do you think the portfolio could be done digitally as in like placed in slides or is physical portfolio scanned Better to submit ?
your moodboard is absolutely gorgeous!! did you use a digital program or did you make it by hand? i want to apply to FIT but i don't know the best way to make the moodboard and make it look clean and professional T_T
Hi thank you so much! I made that one by hand using mixed medias, mainly collage! Now I use programs such as adobe photoshop and illustrator since I get free access via my school!
Do you have to know how to draw/paint to get into fashion school. I have my BS but was thinking about going to fashion school, I have created art pieces but not necessarily draw or paint as well as yourself
