When Super Adventure Box comes out this year, you can focus on getting that one. Congratz and Happy Year 2024 Phandrel! I went back to the game in mid 2022 after a 9 years hiatus and people like you have bee a tremendous help and boost. I've been playing way more intensively these very past few months since I bought EoD Then SotO in the same week. Kinda hooked to S2 legendary weapons at the moment, well most of them, especially since I crafted Exordium and the Shining blade last month. Working on Astralaria III andHope IV- and a second Conflux- nowadays but it's a hell of journey especially since I don't enjoy Fractals at all. I really hope that the Juggernaut will be in the next starter kit in around 2 months Thanks for your work and have fun. Cheers!
Happy New Year for you to @Phandrel!!! Hope this year gets even better for you and that you continue to grow at the same rate if not better. I was going to make a joke about getting to your account value numbers at the beginning of 2023 (as if it was possible) so I checked efficiency and was pleasantly surprised to see that I also almost doubled my account value (much smaller numbers tough - 35k to 65k). It all came mainly from WvW and, my new addiction in the game, map completion. Looking forward for some guild action and especially some live streams!

My total playtime is a little over 8k hours. Most of it was converted from gold, I did get 4k gems with the soto bundle and received a couple as birthday gifts from friends and family. I think somewhere in the ball park of 4x 4k gems, but I'd need to double check.
Yo Phan, ever considered doing a zero to hero series, like Teapot did? You're mostly a soloplayer, right? That would be a interesting pov for a zero to hero, since Teapot is more of a progression player.
Sounds like a fun idea, actually. Even might be worth limiting myself to 100% solo play, as the account upgrades would differ vastly (in the open world I'd be fine with 2 build templates, for example). I will mostly reserve that for when I start streaming, I think. Maybe even edit down the VOD (I'll leave the original up too, of course). I also had the idea to do this with the original Guild Wars, try and get the GWAMM title as simple as possible. That one might involve more planning though.
Very nice. I'm slowly making aurene leggies as well, they're alright, but the variants require a fair bit of work. For my home instance I've had every node except the treasure hunter chest for years, because whenever I get any of the rare items to unlock it (sam, pendant of arah etc) I look at their value, and the value of the chest drops and I just sell it.
I'm not sure how soon I'll unlock the treasure hunter chest myself either for the exact same reason. Yeah, I've been researching what variants will be the fastest, as I might go fast > slow on those.

My main account has had a full home instance for a few yrs now. I need to clean out all my storage including my bank. I'm getting more into legendaries, weapons aren't too bad, getting into raid groups for my time frame is a pain. For character slots, my main has about 37 toons... lol. I try to farm as much as possible but usually end up staying on one toon or another for some time. (face palm). For the home cats, I'm short just 5 lol. Just curious, your guild NA or EU? Or are you setup like how MightyTeaPot is, split guild, ie., 1 NA and 1 EU. Great video, cheers :) Happy New Years

Hey would be nice to really get a daily routine from you to know what you are doing to get that many legendaries, i crafted like 10 or so aswell but what you crafted is totally different level :D Or what you try to do every week to have like an overview of the things. Hope that Videos continue aswell on youtube if you stream on twitch, heard anyway that its easy money to do youtube on the side always.
I will keep making videos :) even when streaming, I thoroughly enjoy making them and researching them. I have been racking my brain on how to present a daily routine, because (imho) it should change based on your goals. I.e. someone who wants to make gen 3 legendaries shouldn't do the same as someone who is still in the early stages of their account. But I think I came up with something :) - it's one of my higher priority guides, but involves some more work.
I don't have the exact numbers, not sure if I could dig those up somewhere and how correct they would be. I'd say I played more than the average player easily, but it wasn't consistently x hours per day, but rather some days way too much, and others only to do some daily crafts and gathering. Ever since making videos I also cut into my time I would spend in game, although I'm technically still occupied with GW2 when working on those :) I just wrote down my total play time now , as I'm really curious to check back at the end of next year.
@@phandrel The Playtime graph on gw2efficiency will have what you need, same last 12 months data as all the other stats. I only played 868 hours 2 minutes this year, really slacking in the grind lol.
It's the Infernal Envoy Outfit (wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Infernal_Envoy_Outfit). I didn't have gear equipped, as I play my Charr instead when I play my Revenant. So the outfit was a quick solution :P
I love this game have all professions at 80 and all elite specs unlocked but for the life of me I don't know how to get gold it's frustrating but I am really clueless. 😢
For me there was a period where I was doing OK in getting gold, but I felt I had to spend it as soon as possible because there was always some set of gear to chase. Things changed a lot when I focused on one character for a while, as both gold and materials started accumulation. Last year was an extreme outlier with the amount of time I had to play the game. So it's safe to say this could be considered an outlier. It's crazy to think that my increase gets dwarfed by the truly big accounts, tough 😅
