Ive never tried fractals cause im scared of group pve content. Are groups in t1 typically very toxic?

@@novaknight30 From my experience t3 is the worst. Difficulty is up and a lot of people still have no idea what they are doing, blaming everyone around for them standing in red circle. In t1 everyone has no idea what to do, mostly using open world builds (which is fine in t1 or even in t2), so everyone is quite polite or there is high rank person carrying the rest explaining on the way, so everyone is polite not to annoy person using up their time to carry newbies. T4 is good, everyone knows what needs to be done most of the time and trying to get fractals done in reasonable time, rebuilding group because someone left because of toxicity is not reasonable time use. Unless you stumble on a rare case of min maxing 0.001% metagaming sociopath, who got kicked from challenge mode group for being a sociopath.

@Zero .Karma GW2 is laid back about build and gear up until very late-game content, like T4 Fractals and CMs, Strikes and Raids. A few specific builds for each class are expected to be run, and you won't really be accepted if you don't have such a build and an idea about how to play it. So it is somewhat like WoW.

Big addition: - agony reduces incoming healing! (while you have agony, healing skills are pretty much useless) Small additions: - cliffside: you don't have to bring the hammer past the first series of (windy) traps - you can request a new one from the npc near the singularity on top - molten boss: focus protectors first, they make other invulnerable - thaumanova: button 1 opens 2, 2 opens 3, no need to press them simultaneously

Just keep farming T1 fractals until you can get full ascended set. People doing fractals right after reset are much much better than later ones. Also, when you get to T4, most people knows the mechanics very well and you wont deal with teammates who doesn't know how the fractal works. Im doing T4 fractals much faster than when I was only in T1. Ascended set with infused rings and +9 agony infusion(average 8g, and 7g at bid) each gear is enough to get you to T4. Goodluck.

@@mattjohnson8585 Unfortunately there are still ya too many idiots in fractal and PVP who can't understand mechanics and capturing points! I'm sick of always explaining mechanics a billion times to the same person, and he or she doesn't listen or understand even when I demonstrate it they still don't understand, and they expect to be carried by the group while they just run around trying to stay alive but doing ZERO damage or heals and spamming auto-attack number 1!! Pure idiots!!!!! And trust me these idiots are even present in tier 4!!!!! How I don't know....... And sometimes they instant die, respawn and instant die again 24/7 and refuse to listen, and then they leave the fractal and you have to advertise the group! Happens daily 95% of the time in all tiers! Pure idiots

I was literally just in a group that were dying to Old Tom since they were spreading out to all sides of the room and avoiding all my buffs. We had to use the batteries to win since "stack up on top of him and beat on his face while I heal, CC and buff you" was too difficult to understand.

One note: There is a misinformation at Shattered Observatory. The special action key at the second boss does no breakbar damage, only the one at the third boss does, because the skill changes after every boss. So don't use it to CC at the second boss but to move around with it. Otherwise, pretty nice guide! I'd do some things different, but for a beginner guide it hast most of the information needed in a small amount of time, which I think is most important to beginners. Being able to check the guide just before entering the fractal is great since you can forget most stuff if it hasn't been up in the daily rotation for a while. And I really like the humour you put in between the information to keep things entertaining. I really enjoyed the guide even though I've been running them on speed clear levels for a few years now. Keep it up!

One other thing, you should encourage people to LOOK AT PARTY CHAT to see what the leader of the group may be saying... And PLEASE don;t push past stop points in the fractals really fast before the leader does as people may be changing skills out or getting the mistlock singularity before the boss (such as MaiTrin and Aetherblade, etc). If you join a group, let the leader lead...

I've played GW2 on and off for years now just doing open world and story content and have been fine with that. I've also had though, sitting in my bank for years now, all the mats to make Mawdrey except for the Mists Stone because I've been avoiding fractals. I'd like to get into fractals at least enough to get that done finally, but all the different mechanics seem so confusing to me. I feel like I'm going to end up wasting peoples time stumbling around trying to remember all the different things to do and not do. This is an excellent guide though, I just have a swiss cheese memory.

Someone liked my comment and reminded me that I had even posted it. Funnily enough, after all those years, not too long after I had posted this, a couple of weeks maybe, someone in a guild im in offered to run a group of fractal newbies through some and I joined. The next day, that gave me enough confidence to join a random LFG in order to get the remaining currency I needed for a Mists Stone. It's still not my favorite content as the stress of it detracts from the fun. I just chalk that up to my own issues. At least I got what I needed and know that if I ever need to run some in the future, I can at least manage it.

I joined a farming team from lfg . They farm in atherblade and do runs in 5 min . I was really shocked. Cuz after doing dailys and some y2 fractals all i get was around 25 encryptions. And that day i got up to 100 . Ever since that day making gold has never been hard

Necros can also use the Flesh worm on Old Tom which stop him from shooting the posion bolts when he spinn. Just place it inside of him and tadaaaa! Awsome guide!

This is amazing. Thank you will help me from looking like a complete noob... Coming from 17 years of wow. I wish I could just have even 5 years if that exp into this game. I just got into. Engineer is what pulled me in. It is what it is not the best choice but for me the most fun. I'll eventually make another char but for now it's my main. Was between the engi and necro. really great guide, i just thing that in thaumanova , usually people do -limon -doors (the dps) and the fire thingy (usually the healer) -and lastly the console with lasers where button 1 open door for button 2 and button 2 open for button 3, so two people can actually do it ( one does 1 and 3 and the second does 2) thanks again and see you all in fractals

I've never run any fractals before. My highest toon is 65, but after watching this video, I'm really looking forward to giving them a try. This guide is seriously amazing. The fact that you were able to describe all of these in one video is really impressive. Can't wait to see all this knowledge helps my runthroughs.

Late comment, but heal tempest can also do it pretty easily, since even with your weapon skills gone, you still have your overload water, soothing mist, flash freeze and rebound. Use lightning flash to activate both consoles quickly.

@@PinkyMan not many but only few and since it's just t1 and and muk had to explain each stage quickly in a strict time limit I think it's a pretty good video for beginners

@@mannysingh994 Well yeah I guess. One of the main mistakes I noticed is telling people to use special action for cc on Artsariiv. The special action doesn't do cc until after that fight :/ There were many small mistakes like that, but I'm just fussy and annoying and notice these things

@@PinkyMan in t1 people need to play the level themselves to get better understanding of the mechanics and the way @Mukluk tried to guide people in this video is actually decent and the mistakes that u mentioned people can correct it themselves and will notice once they play the level that's what mukluk is trying to do through his video a simple guide for beginners

I can update from my own empiric research. Buying both keys and encryptions is worth it. You get about 0,45 gold from the average encryption (already including mats). So buying encryptions at 0,20 gold and keys at 0,20 gold gets you a profit of 5 silver/encryption which would translate to 1,5 gold for 30 encryptions daily.
