I was so impressed with this video, thank you for the excellent break down of all the details and for the extra time you took to explain your thought process and the WHY behind the process. This feels pretty solid compared to some other informational videos in this topic, I learned a lot by watching this! Love how the headshots turned out and the outfits you had picked were perfect! All that work and planning was SO worth it

Excellent advice, there's so much here I never thought of before but you've shown a clear path and I feel more inspired and understand what's needed. It'll make the money spent at the photographers be the best value. I never thought about story boards and colour palettes for roles. I'm just getting started at 50 and only recently found out I'm supposed to have a brand - huh? Oh boy, steep learning curve! Subscribed!

Oh my gosh! So glad it helped. Yes, acting is totally a business . Maybe in school or for fun anything goes. But in the industry, you are the product and you are selling something. Luckily my background in marketing helped. Thanks for subscribing. Let me know if there are any other topics you’d like to cover.

Hi Cherene, great video on many levels from several perspectives; the actor, the photographer and casting director. As a photographer myself, this is really valuable information. For my wife as a photographer also in search of being an actor in Boston area is also very valuable information. Your information really hit the spot. Thank you very much for sharing. Subscribed! I wish you the best in your Journey.

Love the new headshots! Also I had a question for how long did you take clases for? When is the right time to get headshots sorry I’m new to this thank you !!
@ChereneFrancis
@ChereneFrancis Год назад
I took one 3 hour weekly class for about 6 months before I jumped in. And I continued weekly classes. I still take classes to this day. Get headshots as soon as you are ready to start marketing yourself as an actor. Be prepared to change them after 6 months to a year as you will get feedback from the industry....As they say..Break a leg!

My acting headshots do's and don'ts, Cherene Francis. Hey. I'm watching you. I see you. That is half the battle right? LOL...... I like what I see. Well, I'm not really in the acting world. So I just have to take your word for it. But it seems like to me, that if you are at the audition and the casting director can see you in person -------- seems like the headshot would mean very little at that point. Well, actually I take that back. Directors will be making a decision after you leave and they will audition a lot of people also. They may not remember how you looked. The head shot might play a role in casting you. Then again, a lot directors will record the auditions. They will just roll tape after you leave and choose a person based on the audition tape. I actually did a short film once. I recorded the auditions. I still have the tape to this day, 5 years later. But the head shot meant very little to me. I just looked at the audition tape. Very cool. Very cool. You did a good job with this one. I actually was very big into acting and the arts a while back. So I like seeing these type of videos. Or I like seeing videos relating to acting, singing dancing and the arts. Great video! I have just subw3scribed to your channel. So congrats, you just gained another one. I am an advocate on this platform for engaging with others and supporting one another. And returning love and reciprocating feedback. I think that kind of community on here is what we need. Hey, if there were a lot more people like me on here, you might have an extra 400 friends and fans to your channel, right now. Extra. That is the community I'm encouraging people to help me build. I truly am being sincere when I write that. I am a content creator, just like you. Let me get half the battle too. Let me know that you see me. Who knows you might even like one of the videos there.

Hello and thanks for the comment and popping by! Glad to have you apart of the community. Headshots are good to getting you in the door of an audition. Thereafter SOME casting directors have you take a photo again when you arrive for a callback. They do things based on the replay recordings you do in person. However, some may continue to reference your headshot especially when communicating between producers, directors and casting. Great comment 🙏🏾✨😁👍🏾 thank you
