my advice to 1st year students ( By IIT Bombay PG ) 

1.watch nptel lectures 2. Try to implement knowledge 3. Then send your work to iit professor for internship opportunities 4. Don't blame teachers read from reference books

I relate with you bhaiyya I also take admission in private college through mhtcet . I didn't study well in 11th and 12. Now I want to prepare for gate and through gate exam want to go in IIT for mtech
