I received my African Ancestry results this past Friday and my maternal ancestry came back European. I don’t think I will ever find out my Paternal ancestry because my biological father has passed away and I don’t know any male relatives on his side. I’m adopted btw.
Does anyone know if she changed platforms or anything? I really enjoyed her videos but haven't seen anything new from her in 8 months. I sure hope she is doing alright.
if the tikar people migrated does it mean you are a bit of Sudanese aswell or are u fully cameroon just wondering because the migration is very confusing.
Technically, yes. But the Tikar are very far removed from Sudanese culture today, especially due to slavery, the German/French colonization of Cameroon, and the Arab colonization of Sudan. A lot of the traditional cultures of both people has been lost.
@corlua3046 Cameroonian is just a nationality. Country borders in Africa were created by Europe and didn't exist when the Tikar first entered the region known today as Cameroon. It's basically like saying American. Americans come from all over and belong to different ethnic groups, who created new cultures in America. The Tikar have a Nubian (Sudanese) origin, but over time, they became a separate ethnic group and created their own culture and traditions in Cameroon.
