if the keys were dancing colors but the monitor doesn't come on, it has to do with "adding a hard drive and/or upgrading the ram WITHOUT using a static bracelet. VERY SENSITIVE, BUT it's *usually not dead. hold the power key down for 30 seconds. close lid and reboot. that's why I bought the 3 year warranty on mine. they can and will repair it. dell truly hates alienwares almost as much as they hate alienware diehards. I'm on my 5th alienware so yes, my last 3 (dell) Alienwares have been problematic, but they honor their warranty. this high end x17r2 surely needs that premium warranty. but it's a BIG upgrade from my m17r3 in every way.
it die?sorry to here that.you said in a previous video this one ran hot.maybe that could of been part of why it has stop working?have you tried a different ssd? hard drive? I ordered a couple of these desk cooling fans for mine that you can add cold water. I'll see if that helps keep mine cooler.I have a fan blowing on mine also at the moment.if it's running as hot as you explained I think that could of been too hot.it actually looks built to thin for cooling to work.
I'm never gonna buy this brand ever again. After a Windows update, the computer went dead. This is probably what happened to you too only that you did not notice it. The update blew the BIOS chip apart or something. That is very high incompetence. I tried getting a replacement part and up to me to change it because shipping was too expensive and hassle. Then changing the part didn't work and it looked like I had to change the whole motherboard (huh??). Then finally they wanted me to buy another computer after warranty. No way.. just buy ASUS, ROG, Acer or anything else. I have an Acer from 8 years ago that still runs like new, what?? :) The battery still runs 14 hours since then, with no degradation. I don't know how they do it.. lol. So Acer forever I guess haha. Not worth buying computers which are unreliable and break on you, so buy something ELSE lol. Nice videos btw😀
Sry for you! The reason for buying such an expensive laptop is the build quality. A company like Dell can't really afford that. A good reputation is quickly lost and in today's world and the support cannot make up for it so quickly (COVID). I'll keep my fingers crossed!
Thank you for your feedback they are still working on my case so hopefully thing can settle fast because I been in and out without a computer … esp spending so much money on this machine. But I do want to say that their customer service by far are still the best in the market.
