Hi! Welcome to a new video. In today's video I wanted to share my Alocasia Collection, there are a total of 11 species. Hope you enjoy watching today's video!
the small amount of browning on the leaf edges of the black velvet may be humidity issues or inconsistent watering issue. the plant looks very healthy so i would not worry too much...
Thank you! 💚 Well, I only recently found a treatment that works very good to get rid of them. It is called Edialux. The active ingredient in that is Spinosad I think. But all the sprays I used before didn't work. If I don't treat them with Edialux, for example if I only found some larvae on it, then I first try to shower them as many times as I can, sometimes that also has helped to not get worse or stopped seeing them. Thrips are awfull to have in your collection 😖 Are you dealing with thrips at this moment?
Yes usually on my favourite plants. I only use neem oil but definitely not strong enough. I shower them down when I see the little monsters but they just keep coming back.
Ugh, it can be so hard to get rid of them.. I think Dr deadbug it's called, it also has spinosad as the active ingredient. Don't know if you can get that where you live?
