Just a little bit of information regarding my recent upgrade from an extreme temperature microphone to the extreme temperature RSM microphone. The big deal with the XP RSM is that its the only way to get ANC on XTS series radios, and that with a simple cable swap, it can get used on APX and MotoTRBO radios. Its also just bombproof. As nice as the XE mic is, I really don't think its worth 3x the money unless you actually are running into burning buildings.

Dows the mic button below the PTT button act like a scan button if ur radio has the scan button

Nice to meet you Can ordinary people use it? I have a purchase on the Motorola APX-6000 and... I am currently living in South Korea. I want to buy fluorescent light green, but the APX-6000 model is not an amateur wireless ham radio, right? It's a regular radio, right? Can it be used in Korea as well?

Do you have any idea where to get parts for an apx7000 I’m looking to turn mine into a 3.5 an I can’t find anything anywhere as for display an keyboard

The 7000 will not upgrade to a model 3.5. What you have is what you get.

Nice rig! I been trying to get my hands on a APX 6000XE, but unable to find a dealer. Any advice?

Bobby Beta, thanks for the positive comments. These radios are heavily proprietary to emergency services, depending on your state... eBay is your best bet. I recommend the following sellers based on my business history. Rick Thompson - Elite Technologies Inc Dan Eigsti - Talk wave Communications LLC They can be found on eBay. The XE is expensive but well with it. I will be getting an APx7000 and will be doing a review on that soon so stay tuned! :)

Well bud, I bought it off eBay lol, if you buy any of the APX microphones, they have a USB style of connected that you can use it that way. But I do have one I can sell you if your interested?

Last day 50 dollars, free shipping. Otherwise you have to buy a whole mic to swap if out, can be a real pain.
