good video, I've been wanting to figure out how to program my microphone, I like your description of models, and your description of functions on the microphone. I am totally blind, but what I'm looking for is a microphone that's extended range, more than 30 to 50 feet. there are times that I don't want to carry the mark the radio into a place, it is too heavy, and it stands too far off my belt. Plus it draws too much attention, so I was wanting to leave it in the car and just take them microphone in. Do you have any suggestions, let me know.
In order to get that kind of range, you'd need an RF mobile extender, of which there are a few options. I'm not aware of anything that would boost the range of a portable bluetooth mic as much as you'd like.
I’ve only used the Motorola OEM cable, so I’m afraid I can’t answer that definitively. However, i’m not aware of any special wiring inside the Motorola cable, so I would think a standard micro USB could work.
My APS isn't re writing the settings. After i write to it, i have to connect the battery, disconnect and then re connect the battery for it to turn on again. Any thoughts?
Hello! Here's what I did to install and operate the APS on my Windows 10 laptop (32 bit OS): 1. Download APS R3.1.0 from MOL 2. Install APS via "APS" Windows installer package 3. Allow APS installer to also install Flip 4. Launch APS 5. Attach your mic via a genuine Moto micro USB cable 6. Under your PC name, you'll see: -USB - Long Range Wireless RSM - Device 1 7. Select device 1, then click the crossed wrench and hammer icon for Configuration 8.Under configuration, select system 9. Make your changes and click the "write" button on the top toolbar That did the trick for me. If you follow these steps, does you mic write? If not, you may need to upgrade its firmware via the APS.
I was able to find it here on the Motorola website when I searched for accessory programming software www.motorolasolutions.com/en_us/search.html#q=accessory%20programming%20software&t=Tab_All&f:Facet_Source=[MSI.com%20DAM,MSI.com,Oracle%20Commerce%20Cloud%20Sitemap]
