Very interesting! This process is akin to what Dating Agencies do in the West. They provide a forum for people interested in meeting others, for the purpose of a form of consensual relationship which, can progress to a marriage. Therefore, it's not an arranged marriage! In your case, your cousin saw the beautiful girl, liked her, and the girl likewise. They decided to progress it to a marriage. They both had the freedom of choice, to reject each other. And there were other lovely girls too, but this "fiancee" ticked all the boxes your cousin provided. Bravo to your lovely culture, and thank you for showing us this aspect of it.
hello nyako i have really enjoyed your traditons please follow up for dowry negogiations and update us we will really appreciates watching from nairobi kenya
I have friends whose marriages were “arranged” what I mean is that the families were very involved- contrary to some opinions- these are often very successful. They don’t have to marry if they don’t like each other but the families pick someone to date who have the same socioeconomic status and religion, etc.
It is always better when the elders get involved. Their wisdom can see what the young adults, can not see. They see past the beauty, and sex. They see if the couple will make a good mother, or father, if there is respect, will he provide, will she nurture. I wish that we here in the Western word would have never lost our customs from the soil, but what we pass through is because we were kidnapped from the soil. Many of us reach first towards the heavens to the almighty God, and also research the customs of our people, to descover our roots.
This was really fun to watch......arranged marriage happen in my country too,but it’s not common and the difference with our own is that they don't marry almost immediately....they're usually given time to date (courtship) Thanks 🌹 for sharing
Thank God for me living in America. I can't do all that for someone else family. My husband YES but I'm not sure of what is the point of catering to his family is I'm marrying/married to him and can't eat chicken??? Hell no
Really enjoyed learning about your culture, thanks for sharing. So are you also married, and was it an arranged marriage or none tradition? Also, which do you prefer, traditional marriage or none-traditional marriage? Sorry for the many questions, thanks once again, take care ok.
@@africannyako oh really, why not? Don't you like the culture, and what is the alternative and what is it like? Oh and thanks for the love heart 💓 yes my first one loll 😂🤣
I agree with him,NATURAL HAIRSTYLES & DARK SKINNED WOMEN ARE BEAUTIFUL..But in the States, dark skinned women like light skinned men, what about us copper SKINNED BROTHAS? I do alright most African & Island women are attractive to me...😎
Oh my !!! your customs & traditions are tough. Does your tribe marry outside the tribe and if so, are the new brides expected to do the same work as the tribal brides do?
I respect African culture, but I also oppose the idea of young girls being married to older men. Girls need to be empowered and learn the pros and cons of early marriages. Thank you African Nyako. Much love from Canada.🙏🏽
African Nyako/Esther: thanks indeed for showing us the strengthening of the hair. You girls are very careful and not to harm the lady. Good job. Esther and company. jtsdrd
Hi I hope your doing well. I’m lake to your video. But I’m a new subscriber to your channel I love your content. ? Did you have to go threw the same event when you got married
That's match making because after connecting them they are the ones to make the final decision 😄 arranged marriage they just organize the marriage and wedding you just trust your parents taste
I respect every culture but sloter chicken over my dead body and every morning getting up to purpered them for my self is a big no no no .Good luck for dear lady. If it was my daughter a no to the marriage.
Hi miss can I askbig favour of YouCan you do a vlog around where you live and surrounding I would greatly appreciate bit of you could I hope thanks 🙏👍❤️😘♥️
You are always so happy and cheerful, your vibe is contagious,it makes me smile when I see you smile,I tried to find you on Facebook but there are soooooooo many women with the same name
Arranging marriage. That is odd. Somewhat like forcing oneself on another, something I strongly disprove of. I am in prison, have been for over 22yrs. I don't agree with homosexuality, not something I can accept. But what makes me sick to my stomach is when one guy attempt to force himself on an unwilling dude. This arranging marriage stuff u have in or culture, especially with young women to men twice their age, reminds me of the type of shit be going on behind these walls.
Lol ~ the Story about the Tourch ~ to check the Face ~ and make the Desition ~ Yes or Not ~ That I can call it " Nihilismus " Meaning to believe in Nothing ~ Love is not like a Bank 🏦
Kudos to your very nice culture which is 99% same as my Igbo culture in Biafra Land which is presently in the south east of Nigeria. That’s how we used to do it back in those good days when our culture was still being held in very high esteem. But not any more, as what we now call modern civilisation has overtaken and destroyed our once amiable Igbo culture. Very sad!
I respect all African culture. But for Africa to develop into a better continent, it should look forward . This old traditions is keeping Africa backwards and poor. Time to look forward
I wish we had this type of tradition in Trinidad for our black descendants, slavery has destroyed this ,if you look at this east Indians that were not slaves, they came prepared for life
