Something I've always wanted to see is a Diamond painting kit with like actual stones. Being that it would be insanely expensive to do so, I would love to see them come out with Swarovski crystal diamond painting, but again that would be so expensive, so I would absolutely settle for regular glass. I think it would be SO cool!
If you stream it please let us know in the yt community tab, it's so satisfying! I think it would sell if you put this kit with your art available to purchase
The extra sparkely drill "ab drills with coating" work best with dirty wax so they dont pull it out. A roller is the best way to lock everything down! So glad your art is making it to DAC!! Loooks so good!
The moment I saw casey go for the wax I was like 'oh no, she didn't take the top plastic cover off' Because I did the exact same thing when I started doing these diamond painting things. So glad I'm not just an idiot lmao
Your explanation of the stuff in the tool kit made me die 😂 I tried diamond painting once. It was interesting, but I very quickly discovered that I do not have anywhere near enough patience for this hobby. I did it for about an hour, and then I gave it to my nibling, who loves doing these things. They finished it in a matter of days 😂 Oh, and don't worry - every single person I've spoken to was tricked by that stupid plastic sheet on the pink gum stuff. She is mighty deceptive, you are not alone! 😂
@KaseyTheGolden are these things you will be bringing out to sell with your art on them, or was it a company that allows you to upload an image and they make it into a diamond painting?
@@Littlewings1211 The company that made this is called Diamond Art Club. She didn't actually reach out to them, they reached out to her because people voted on her art being made into canvas. They are doing everything, but she gets a bit of a cut for them licensing her art
You can also use blue tac for some satisfying pop sounds. I've used washi tape to outline the edge of the work, and isolating squares. then cut out the plastic within the isolated square with an exacto (press very light.. the canvas is not as thick as I first expected). that way I know exactly what im working on and keep the other squares from losing their stick from my skin oil and dust(cat hair for you). they're really fun, and I wish you luck! Ps... thank you for the reminder of Diamond painting! I've completely forgot about my current DP project since middle school!
Kasey I love your channel and have been watching you for years. I’m obsessed with diamond painting so I was absolutely over the moon when DAC announced that you would have paintings with them!! I bought both of your paintings and I can’t wait to see what else you release with them!! Thank you for allowing your beautiful art to become diamond paintings for us!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
It can take some time to get the hang of it at first, but once you get used to it, it's super relaxing, you also started with the best quality diamond paintings out there which is a big plus! I've been diamond painting for 2 years and also your fan for 3 or 4 years. When I saw your art on DAC I was soooo happy I got it immediately. Hopefully we get to see more of your art turned into diamond painting, maybe some ants? :D
I find it really relaxing & not at all hard, but then I've only used the Diamond Dotz brand - which use the nicer rounded dots instead of the cheaper looking square ones. The key is to be gentle & patient and also not to overfill the tool with wax as then you can press the dots down with the metal tip. And lining them up works well just running a fingernail along a line to even them up. I've not used a multiplacer tool yet, but then I prefer the control of doing one at a time & don't mind that its slow going. I like to work line by line, bottom to top as I find that leaves the least amount of sticky exposed to dust & stuff. Plus you get to swap up the colours a bit more frequently to keep things interesting. Oh and I got some little bead tubes to keep the drills in.
Diamond Art Club offers different shape diamonds for different pieces! I have another of my art that’s round, so I’m excited to see how those compare! Thanks for the tips, I’ll definitely be using them in the future!
DAC has VERY high quality drills whether round or square. Squares will always give a clearer sharper image than rounds which is why many people prefer squares over rounds. They make their own drills and if you ever decide to give them a try i promise you’ll see there’s nothing cheap about them.
Tip for square drills: Never use a multi placer, make a checkboard pattern and you get a good diamond painting. A multi placer works good for rounds but not for squares.
Yeah, unless you line them up just right picking them up, they end up all sorts of crooked. Made that mistake too many times from impatience 😅 Personally, I really like using tweezers to place squares, and with the rounds I like using the applicator and wax. Idk why, but it's easier for me
It looks so sparkly! I've heard that the circle gem ones are easier to place than the squares from a couple of people! So if you try it again (which I think would be fun if you enjoyed it!), maybe try the circle ones instead of squares :)
Round drills are definitely easier for a beginner than square drills but square drills give a sharper more clear image so many people prefer squares. Personally having been in this hobby well over a decade, I love both!
Have you tried cross stitching yet? It's kind of like this but imo less messy I'm working on a big sun and moon print I reccomend buying kits though because I bought the stuff to make a second sun and moon for my jacket but 😂 the kit itself cost like £10 where if you buy it separately it's like £25
I loved this kit! I have actually completed it already, and got so giddy when I saw you'd released a kit and I was ordering that day. I HAD to grab it and absolutely love it.
I think Kaseys artstyle is perfect for this. Just the right amount of details to not go crazy as a beginner. altough for me such a piece would be way to big I do barely have the patience for a 1000piece puzzle alone 😂
Totally didnt just watch this.... ANYWAY!! I LOVE diamond painting!! I actually have a HUGE one that i did with square diamonds, that is a photo of me when i meet my favorite actor! I also put all the diamonds in a glass jar, and its so satisfying to play with!!
I hope this doesn't come off as hate, but I haven't seen you in a while and I thought you were Drake Bell for the QUICKEST moment at the beginning of this video 😭😂
I am but I'm 11 so I have baby fingeys I've done diamond painting for like 3 or less yrs and it was hard but I have one now and it a 51 by 71 cm and circle beads ar more for beginners I love watch this and your struggles. Tip: You can take washie tape and make a square that is tiny or your size! I started and didn't know this but now I do it all the time and when you remove the plastic use a razor and cut along the tape LIGHTLY and the you can start!
I got so addicted to diamond paintings that I covered a wall with them! I posted them on your amino about 2 years ago now i think lol! Now I try to stick with traditional art because its cheaper lol 😆 xxxx (I love the art you chose for this) xxxx
I bought the other Diamond Painting that you did in partnership with Diamond Art Club. Unicorn Lair has round drills which will make this DP much faster to complete than Primary Connection with square drills. I can't wait to start it, however it is on a very long list of DP DACs that I have at home and that I want to do.
I love watching this, and find it kinda funny, I go by another username on twitch and a while back mentioned I was working on diamond paintings myself, while im not gonna go all the way and say I was the inspo I do think it might have wiggled the thought into her head. Diamond painting isnt for everyone, but its fun to see Kasey trying her best and doing an amazing job at it nevertheless!!!!
So you did so good with that bigmultiplacer. I don’t find that easy. How did you get your art to be a Diamond painting. My Diamond paintings have cat hair too❤
The ones you started with I've heard called aurora diamonds and they stick heavily to the wax so when it comes to those ill actually take the time to place them one by one with the tweezers. I find that even with barely sticky wax its impossible to find the balance of sticky enough to pick them up consistently but not too sticky where the wax pulls out of the pen so the more consistent tweezers it is. XD
Please let us see it finished. 🙏 The colors are so bright. Diamond painting are addicting but they can be a little bit of trouble on your neck and back.
I’m on my third one now (got my first one about a year and a half ago and it took me months and months) and I’ll admit, when I did my first one I didn’t realize there was a seal on the wax either…on both sides. Figured it out eventually and here we are haha.
The way I screamed when I opened this video!! It’s been so long!! I’m so happy the algorithm blessed me with your content again, I can’t wait to catch up 🥰🥰🥰
Oh man, that would be intense. I think the company was looking for simple art from me for the beginners, maybe in the future we could do something more complicated?
I hope DAC adds another one of Kasey's pieces to their site! I'd love to see some of her worms, spooky ghosts, kitties, dragons, some of the prompt draws, the Peppermint Prison, the 152 crayons drawing....so many but just another Kasey Golden piece!
Love how you've jumping into another art medium with such spark. I have been inspired and I bought myself some diamond painting art supplies to see what I can make. I keep coming back here to get inspiration. :) Best wishes from Michigan ❤
I'm no pro, I just do diamond painting once in a while to decorate my walls. But first, I love squares. I will tweeze in let's say the evens, and then use the stylus for the odds. I also cut my film up, 25×25 for example, and only remove the film as I work
You did really well, especially since it’s the first time and square (most people find square harder then round drills, I personally don’t and prefer the square ones). I just love listening to one of my audiobooks. I fly through them, both the books and paintings 😂.
I’m not familiar with your channel but I’ve been Diamond painting 16 years next month before it was even available in the states. It was super cute watching you try to figure things out! I could give you a ton of tips but the truth is you know how to use RU-vid and any tip I give you is going to be easier watched in one of the thousands of Diamond painting videos on RU-vid. I will say with DAC you definitely can push the drills into place once laid down if you do one at a time. If you decide to really commit to this I highly recommend tray towers (gives you the ability to have dozens and dozens of colors out at once in larger trays) and sectioning your piece with that Washi tape they give you. Make a grid with the Washi on top of the plastic sheet and use cuticle scissors to cut out one square at a time from the plastic cover. This gives you the ability to complete a small section without wrestling with the plastic cover. Also, with squares you just have to trust the process! The more you lay the straighter they get. Have fun!
As a seasoned Diamond Painter, I found this video super fun! Thank you! I really enjoyed watching you figuring things out as you went and had many chuckles and smiles along the way 😆
I love diamond painting so much so when I tell you I ran to Diamond Art Club’s page as soon as I saw they had your art. It will be here in a couple of days. I can’t wait for all the bright colors
I have been doing Diamond Art Kits for awhile now and every Saturday they have their new kits up and soon as I saw this one I knew it was your artwork. I'm so glad that they feature you now 😊
Your hair looks so cute I can't! Dang that painting this looks so satisfying and calming! :D Diamond paintings seem so cool but I can't get into that myself because I just know it'll give me a new art-addiction hahaha
