yeah totally, stradman's recent videos are only averaging around 50k views currently so I can't imagine him getting a lot of income from those videos. :/ I've been watching all of his recent videos front start to finish just to try and help him out more, but there is only so much that I can do as an individual... He needs more active subscribers :/

The best part about being on RU-vid is being recommended a video from 3+ years ago from one of your favorite content creators of today and watching it in amazement and not amazement from the awesome content of putting an alternator in but amazement from seeing the early beginnings and the grind and the consistency they’ve put in day in and day out to make content and follow their dreams. You may hear success stories here and there but to actually see it recorded just really makes you appreciate the work they do to bring great content of today

Gotta tell you man, you had bad luck with the TT. I love my project car, and I never even have had a single problem that want caused by human error since in 2009. I think you should give it another chance though
Sleeping in a car isnt bad, i know a guy that is a millionaire and he sleeps in his Audi sq7 because he drives around alot and doesnt want to pay for hotels
I ve slept in my car when i did night drives and needed a rest. Not like the guy has ever been homeless or in need... in his early 20s he slept in his audi TT..... ohhhhhh poor stradman... such a touching story! One day he had to share a mars bar with a friend because they couldn't afford two... ohhhhh! Stop falling for his story telling. Sure his life changed a lot thanks to youtube, but the guy was an average guy with a good accountant income, a helping family and an education. He fuckin slept in his car, get over it. He has never been poor nor any close to bankrupcy... but yes he lives maxing out his debt possibilities and relying on his channel growth to keep up the expenses.
Keep it!!! Cars all have character, I love my truck and if it ever became unreliable I would pay to have it completely over-hauled so that it ran correctly because it means so much to me. Keep it for sure.
Crazy how James went from this to his current garage, building his dream house etc, in about 2 years. Great to see that all his hard work and dedication is paying off!
I dont think there is much of market with the older Audi's. I have a B5 myself but they are not worth that much. I say drive it until the wheels fall off.
True @jerZeyFiveOh . I guess you just have to come to a point where the cost to repair the car far outweighs the value. But until then drive it till the wheels fall of like you said lol.
Older gen Audi's are maintenance monsters. What the stradman should do is do a compression test of the engine to see how much life is in it, then assess from there. If the engine is in healthy condition everything else is worthy of maintenance or replacement except for large parts of the drivetrain such as the AWD system, transmission, engine etc etc. He really shouldn't have much to fear except various old sensors going bad which went on mine.

Good on you for fixing it yourself. Did you test the alternator before you replaced it. A quick voltage reading across the battery terminals with the engine running would've given you the answer.
