as a mutation Gouldian breeder from Australia I thought I might just point out canaries are know carriers of air sac mite and can spread it through your Gouldian colony pretty quick and wipe out your whole colony. I'd never house them with gouldians nor would I put Bengalese as they too are also carriers not beneficial to the Gouldian finches health. although saying that I do breed very expensive mutations but in birds air sac mike will show no favors regardless of price. if you have not done anything medication wise-look into S76 for air sac mite and all inmates should be much happier
