It depends of how big of a cage you have, look at my other video I put 2 pairs in a 3 foot long cage with 2 or more nest boxes, Gouldian finch need 1 male and 1 female to pair it up it's not like canaries that you can put several females and only one male in order to breed, hope it helps✌️
Fooxy GamerUWU They are NT (Near threatened) not endangered there is a big difference. Regardless it's sad but luckily this species is kept alive in captivity which is more than can be said for other animals in Australia right now.
Very nice and healthy finches. I've noticed you had a heater below the ground. Isn't that dangerous and your birds can get toasted when they get close to the unit itself?
They will never get too close to the heater for obvious reasons, they feel if it's too warm, if you notice I screwed the heater and the piece of wood to prevent any tipping or movement of the unit
@@ThatFinchGuy thanks for the quick reply. I also have an outdoor flight aviary and I've been raising lady gouldians for over 10 years now here at San Fernando Valley. I'm assuming you also specialize on lady goulds. If you have time visit my site mygouldianfinches.com
@@alex8426 hey Alex that's around the same time I'm been breeding them 10 to 12 years now and I been there in San Fernando valley buying some Goulds you may know a guy there he's got an outdoor aviary with a lot in San Fernando he's name is Armen
@@ThatFinchGuy No I don't know him. The gouldian breeders that I know is Magno and Rudie and I have not been buying goulds for awhile. I got over 100 right now and I have a friend that just gave me some blue backs and yellow backs last weekend. Most of my collection are the normal greens which I think the most hardy and brighter colorings than hybrids.
@@alex8426 yeah the regular ones are the most beautiful and vivid colors but you know the mutations are more expensive cause they are kind of hard even to keep them alive, I'm starting all over again since I sold all of my birds years ago for moving of places and some other personal problems but now I'm back I just have 2 pairs as of now you will see my next videos in a few days
I just bought a male and it’s so hard to find a female idk if I just don’t know who to call but my male is lonely I live in California dose someone know who I can call?
Inner Life Photography . Yes they breed in colony and of course you can put Whydah finches and owl finches and canaries, they get along pretty well, I have some canaries and some society finches all mixed together, I love finches😊🐤🐦🐣
thanks for your help. i am building my own small indoor rainforest like dubai green planet for big parrots but i think i should also put these gouldians and all other rare finches as well..
