The early releases had black inners and later ones came with the plastic inners, still love them both, UK and US copies the bass is there and I just turn the bass up on my amp a little as well

Beautiful records Edwin. I love the Obi strips. My mother is from England and brought all of her original Beatles lps with her when she married my father. I grew up listening to the Beatles. Years later, they were sold in a yard sale for cheap. Good luck with your record show! Andre’

I heared that the book on "MMT" is very fragile and easily be removed on the spine, does that ever happen to japanese releases of the album?

I finally decided to look up what obi's are. Apparantly traditional japanese clothes called kimonos where often tied with a big sash. the japanese word for sash is obi. its funny the japanese put sashes on their on their records just like their clothes.

What a temple you the Beatles you're building here, Edwin. Love seeing the dedication you have to the flag series, hunting then down is a real task. Doubly so in the condition you've found them! Haha I was worried for Ringo!! I've seen one of these flag series (maybe Rubber Soul) for $45 at a store near me, maybe not quite as good condition as yours but with obi etc - do you think that's a fair price? Thanks for this video, hope you have a great weekend, cheers- Dean

Grandma's Handbag hi Dean, I would say that’s a good price if it’s in VC+ condition or better. It all starts with buying one. Have a fantastic weekend. Cheers E

friend who loves the Beatles together. Thank you for introducing the Japanese flag series. But do you know where the series goes up to number 40? The answer is explained in the video I posted. I definitely want you to see it!

Is it truth that japanesse pressings has a lack of bass feequencies?? Great collection, by the way

I'm sure some Japanese pressings lack bass but not all of them. I have a Japanese pressing of Pink Floyd's Meddle and it has killer bass. Thanks for watching and commenting.

@@PrettyGreenVinylGuy And taking about The beatles? What about the bass? What is the difference between Flag Obi and green Obi? Wich one is better? Great condition of your records!! Thanks!!

@@miguelmelendez4396 I just listened to side 2 of Abbey Road, where Paul has some great bass lines,. Songs like Sun King sound fabulous. The only difference between the Flag Series and the Green Obi that I know of is it’s just a different variant. There is another series on dark red vinyl that’s supposed to be the superior version but they are much more expensive. I think around $100 US per record.

hi, how much did you pay on average per title? also heard these were cut trebly compared to the previous AP series. p.s. if u do get LIB in the flag series u shld compare it with your beatles forever version. the latter shld sound better. seems like Toshiba took a different take on the mastering n cutting with the eas/flag series
@PrettyGreenVinylGuy
@PrettyGreenVinylGuy 4 года назад
His Royal Dudeness on average between $35 - $75 Canadian. I ended up trading the Let it Be for a MOFI Wish you were here, so I never had the chance to compare. The sound of the entire series is very good, and yes more treble than bass, as with a lot of Japanese pressings. Just something I wanted to collect. Cheers E
