Honestly, I’m generally not a makeup wearer beyond mascara and lippy. However, I love watching others who love and KNOW makeup and just really enjoy it. I live vicariously hahaha. Emily, you epitomize that make up lover who knows her stuff and just loves the play and for that reason your videos are my fave of this genre p. I remember the first time I saw your channel. I think it was 2010? I was stunned to see a tutorial with drugstore makeup. I remember it was a revlon eyeshadow quad. I was amazed to see someone who had awesome makeup skills and on tv using drugstore makeup. I had no idea news anchors did their own makeup too!
After you shared how impressed you are with Hard Candy products I did pick up a couple I thought would be dupes/replacements for a pair of my favorites and it was a resounding success!! Hard Candy Shadow markers in Bubbly and Pony are fantastic dupes for Thrive Cosmetics Eye Brighteners Stella and Callie.

I am SO SO happy that you found a dupe for Baddest Beige! It’s my favorite lipstick and I’ve been avoiding wearing it so that I don’t run out. Thank you for finding an alternative!!!
Baddest Beige was my replacement for Loreal Shining Peach. Now I use the Revlon ColorStay liner in Nude, then go in with Elf Seriously Satin in Crème, and finish with Elf Lip Lacquer in Fantasy. It’s the closest combo to Baddest Beige I’ve found.

I've been using the Maybelline Matte and Poreless powder consistently for probably 8 years or so, and it's the BEST setting powder. Makes my skin look so smooth and poreless, yet not powdery. I've tried other powders throughout the years, and I always go back to Maybelline.

I have been getting back into doing my makeup after a long break. I bought one of the hard candy face off blushes on your recommendation. It is beautiful! A great way to get a nice glowy flushed cheek even on days where I don't want to do a full face.

I've been touting the Maybelline Fit Me powder at every opportunity for a loooong time! I hope someone was listening. Ha! I have CT, Laura Mercier, IT Cosmetics and some others but I like this Maybelline powder the absolute best. How crazy is that? I mostly use the translucent finish, and oddly enough I use my finger to tap it in under my eyes instead of a brush. This powder is a total winner!

What's the best way to match your foundation to your skin? Concealers & powders as well? When picking concealers & powders, do you go up or down a shade? I have rosacea, so it makes it a little harder. I stopped wearing make-up when it started & and I am finely getting back it to it. I have enjoyed watching your videos. It's like watching a friend.
With under eye makeup, going one shade lighter will have a brightening effect. For all over the face powder, same color as you would choose for foundation.
Hard Candy got the idea for the bronzer applicator from glossier, I loved their application method for the liquid bronzer, sooo natural and easily blendable

I picked up the hard candy liquid blush and bronzer as well as the glowy primer and love them all! Their hydrating milk makeup dupe primer is one of my faves, I’ve been through a couple of those 😊

I bought the Hard Candy blush and bronzer, and it's amazing quality. It's the best user-friendly and easy to blend formula, and builds up nicely if needed. I'm definitely going to be purchasing another blush shade and try the lipliners. I already finished up a bottle of the Hard Candy setting spray. It has the best spray nozzle out of all the products I have. I actually decanted an Elf spray into the Hard Candy bottle, because it's a good product, but awful spray nozzle. Hard Candy for the win!!
Emily I know you are in the US but I have to tell you about my new brand obsession Sculpted By Aimee created by an Irish makeup artist. The products are so awesome I've been compelled to buy a full face of their products over the past 6 weeks. My favourites are their doubled ended complexion brush, Second Skin foundation, Bare Basics palette, and Lip Duos, but I love everything I've bought.
