kalonji, nigella, onion seeds are the same thing. Some people call it black cumin. Shahi jeera is called caraway seeds in English . Some people call that black cumin too. I am not surprised, It is utterly confusing. Best to use the terms Kalonji in Hindi, Kalo jeera in Bengali. On the other hand Shahi jeera for caraway seeds.
