@@hououinkyouma3864 lost children arc isnt that great. its just another omniverse-fantasy-fist of the north star-rippoff. another evil character with a sad story, gives a moral to the readers, typical and cliche. it cant even be compared to the golden age arc, the most special and unique masterpiece that authorizes the manga berserk. i dont know why people zeal about the lost children arc, maybe due to the moral of the story being connected to modern society and politics, idk, but the zeal seems so eerie.
We will never get anything like this again. Not in our lifetimes anyway. Miura was in the same lane as great men like Shakespeare, he was a talent that defined his era, and men like him only come around ONCE in a lifetime, and sometimes those geniuses are never discovered; imagine how many Shakespeare's there have been throughout history and no one knows their names. Fate must have smiled down on humanity when a salary man working for some magazine distributor in Japan saw Miura's work in 1989 and decided to salvage it instead of throw it away with the others. RIP Miura.
We will. The problem lies with that we live in the past and hardly embrace new stuff. Just don't dismiss stuff so fast, you'll be surprised how much good things come out; that's the best advice I can give people.
Lmao lets stop the glazing a little, Shakespeare had way more influence than Miura ever could, and no way it competes with things like Hamlet in terms of writing/

Falconia chapters were also amazing. Farnese's whole arc in Vritannis is just god tier. Guts and Zodd teaming up, Schierke opening up to the party, Griffith vs Ganishka, etc. Also Sea God arc is great and overhated 🏃♂️
Golden Age is probably the greatest manga arc ever written, def in my top 3 arcs of all time (with Chimera Ant from HxH and Coalition War from Kingdom)

Because it's honestly filler when you get right down to it. We already know Guts is hunting apostles. Introducing some new characters who were, frankly, quite bland and then immediately dropping them after the big fight kind of made the whole thing feel like Black Swordsman arc 2.0
@@Gutsdidnothingwrong Kinda the point, they had finally reached their destination, he focused on the light comedy and peacefulness before the NEXT major arc... It felt it was focusing on wrapping character arcs and add worldbuilding as setup for the next content
Am I the only one who loves the boat chapters? Guts versus Sea God??? That was one of the best chapters. I know i most of you'll think it's the long wait but i had the privilege to read it in one go and it wasn't as long as they say. I think it's underrated AF.
@@RagerTheStrugglerit's too light in tone and goofy, all the horror is gone. It doesn't progress the story or characters in any meaningful way, the fights aren't really that memorable and the armor now feel like a cheap power-up. It's not a bad arc by itself, it's still god tier if compared to other mangas, but if you look the whole picture it's not that great really. But someone who loves shonen mangas can also love this arc because it's peak shonen.

Berserk merecia um anime bem feito adaptando seus arcos, do mesmo estilo que foi o memorial edition, só que mais completo como o original porque o memorial edition teve bastante conteúdo cortado. Um remastered das 3 temporadas lançadas e uma continuação seria perfeito.

@@retrogressive8245 ok but there is no separate conviction arc. Its just split into the lost children chapter, the binding chains chapter, and the birth ceremony chapter. So saying the whole is better than a part of the whole doesnt really make a lot of sense in this context
If berserk ever got animated correctly what arcs/chapters would be too much to animate? IMO : The entirety of Devil Dogs and portions of Lost Children with the actual children

@@lorenzocozzone4612 you HAVE to read the manga. 1997 is the only good anime for Berserk that exists. Start from chapter 87, that's when new characters and important things appear... I know it begins with Femto and Casca but trust me, you wanna see what happens halfway through that chapter. If you're not used to reading manga, this is a great place to start, don't be scared

@@lorenzocozzone4612 Probably should start over and read the mango chapters that you already "covered" as the anime skipped a good deal of "Black Swordsman" due to time and budget restrictions. The mangos aren't cheap. I'm still building my collection, but they are absolutely worth it
Just finished the Golden Age Arc now I'm going back to the Black Swordsman once 1 and 2 get delivered. (I read them in order to how things happened rather than by volume cause I'm autistic, yes I do that with a lot of genres if I dont read/watch/play the game before a prequel was made)
Reading through the golden age arc now. Something I’ve always wanted to read just never had much time. So I was always super into the 97 Anime. And I even enjoyed the trilogy series. I hate reading, but this is Cannon material. So much passionate in his work from the art to the characters to the story. I’m only on hardcover vol 2 chapter 6 but I’m not trying to burn through it. It hits different knowing Muira isn’t with us anymore. So I’m trying to milk it. You can only experience something for the first time once. ❤
finished all the released chapters and i gotta say all of them were goated like they so good that they me forget all the bad things in my head but the only thing i disliked was the black swordsman arc it was kinda outta character and a bit rude of guts but he made up for it but i am hella lucky they are still continuing the story i just hope that the people working on it get good breaks and make the chapter become monthly soon.
Personally all of the chapters of Berserk are amazing and there's no bad or mid chapters. I don't know or understand the huge dislike towards the post Miura chapters.
For us strugglers, everything is true masterpiece and if not then manageable.. until the death of Sensei Kentaro Miura 😔. We strugglers have no place to return.

Everything after the Lost Children chapter of the Conviction Arc kinda blew: I miss angerous Guts and when Puck was a minor character, and there were no kids in the group… The Kushan were really cool-looking, though. I’m a sucker for ancient Hindu mythology and culture. Besides that, !
