Would you also shake the hand of the men who developed the first rocket-powered GPS-positioned bacteriological WMD vector, due to the fact it is such an engineering marvel?
Absolutely great work. It was very cool meeting you in person and getting to go hands on with some of your creations... thanks for sharing so much remarkable knowledge. 👍
Love seeing continuous development from you. Also very happy to see .STEP files and .SLDPRT files posted when you do. Very cool project as always. Keep up the good work.
Printing mine super fast too, 8 hour print on my Bambu P1S. It’ll be done in a few hours! Did the same for the SL-15 and it’s holding up great using the Polymaker PolyLite PLA Pro
You are up there with the greats and will go down in history as the godfather of the super safety. RU-vid didn't push your video to me, and I've got all notifications on. Keep kicking ass man!
Thank you sir for all that you do and continue to do! You've inspired me to get into 3d printing, went to my local microcenter today and purchased my first printer. They had the creality k1's for $429
I have one of those Stern Defense 9mm Glock Mag, AR15 magwell adaptors, I always thought it would be cool if there was a way you could make a 3D printer print tightly around it to eliminate the misalighnment issues, have a bolt hold open, omit the normal mag release, the lower would probably be pretty strong with that nice metal piece in the center, it might be a bit larger than necessary but it would certanly be a solid piece with all your strength upgrades in PLA+ or CF. I suppose this invention makes the Stern a bit redundant since you can afford to buy a lot of stuff instead of paying $229 for an adaptor. Almost enough to just get a 3D printer or buy a G19 parts kit and have a sidearm or get a basic upper.
What if you took a strong apoxy like JB Weld and smeared it into that Z banding to make a smooth surface and it cured, would that create a strong hard surface that would hold up and remain withing specs? Just sort of a off the wall idea, it would be inside where its not visible. Theae are the sorts of things I often find myself doing when I work on older vehicles and I am "doing the wrong thing the right way" like repairing a gouged sealing surface on an intake manifold for a carb/throttle body, the surface for a thermostat housing, a gouged timing cover, blocking off some sort of emissions eguipment, like JBing a bolt into the EGR output on exhaust manifolds, plugging a vaccum port, blocking ports the a smog pump would feed after I delete it.
@Hoffman Tactical is there any shot (for those of us who don't own a 3d printer) to buy a Super safety equipped lower or a super safety trigger group from you? Thanks! I really love your content!
Hey I got a wild idea I’d like to see you or PSR try! I doubt you gonna read this, but I want to see if we can use nothing but a drill, sand paper, and a file in conjunction with a 3D printer to make a Glock 17 slide. So maybe get those file resistive rods other jigs use, and get a block of steel to try and mill the B to a G. You could also use cheap drill resistant inserts in the jig for make it accurate. It’d be a game changer making 3D printers no longer limited to plastic as they can be proven to make the tools needed to make metal parts!
Alot of people are using high speed printers, I think Hoffman needs to do a test so he can recommend print settings/filament recommendations that'll still provide good strength at those print speeds
@@BestBoricua They are not as good as they could be. Slow prints have no downsides in most cases, the desire for speed when it is not needed is the gimmick ;)
Love how you call it a AR9 and not a "PCC" what ever that is ir they call it , I always say AR9 💪🏽 just finished my first AR9 build i want to out a super safety on it 😎
Overture is my favorite filament manufacturer, and I have found that the Easy Nylon, once dried, prints beautifully in my Bambu P1S using their Bambu PA-CF profile. Are you going to try their new Super PLA+? I have a spool but I haven't printed with it yet.
I have to ask. Was your inspiration Philip A Luty? The only reason why I ask is Because your work reminds me so much of him but it’s impressively *so* much better. I have taken upon myself to do as Philip had done and continue to prove that firearms can never be seized or banned, to prove that gun control can never fix the one problem that voters seek to reduce *-by becoming the problem itself.*
Will this work with CMMG's Radial Delayed Blowback bolt? And are you planning on making this lower that takes larger frame glock mags? (45 and 10mm size.)
That was a option I looked at. It's more costly, not streamlined, and the hex nut system is still required for all those who want to use printed plates.
Ah well regardless super duper good job anyway! Love my two holster sidecars with the extra mag! If there is a 'random people from the internet asked for these things' list put me down for God's caliber version! @@HoffmanTactical
is it possible to make one of these either with an ejector on the right side so cases eject left OR just completely mirror the print to be fully left handed? i came across an old A2 carry handle upper thats factory cut for left eject and it came with a 9" 9mm barrel & carbine length triangle handguard. someone was building a lefty retro 9 but im only aware of one company making ambi 9mm bolts and lowers with ejector fin on the right - 600 bucks for bolt n receiver. no way im paying that
Love the complete walk thru step by step and how you keep improving on your designs. Have you ever tried using stainless cinch straps ( Oeiker is a brand name) or possibly making a recess pocket for the turn screw on the hose clamp. Great work Ive been wanting an AR-9 looks like you may have cost me $$ 😂I guess i have to start putting a parts list together because I live in a Communist state that banned Freedom last year by a giant A$$ ( BJ Pricklicker Racist 👑 of the Tryrants)so I have to build an upper piece by piece because no one will sell you a upper thats already put together
I hope you have at least 5 million for your legal defense. Might even need to do some jury rigging and judge dealing seeing how Matt hoover had to choose a dozen women from a jury pool of..... 100 women.
Honestly, excellent.. Although, I just can’t(and will never) get past the hose clamp🤙🏻.. (a milled 2 part clamp and a modified stl.. And sheesh, Google is certainly nobody’s “Friend”… Quite the opposite. I get using it out of necessity, but again, Google is Not your “Friend”.
