Fun fact: Ale the bass player is very shy and hates singing lead. But she also has a very good singing voice and will occasionally sing lead if Dany is ill and needs to rest her voice. TWA fans love it when Ale sings lead because she is awesome!
Plus she is the pacemaker of their every song. This is why so many of them start with the bass line. It comes naturally from the fact Ale controls the flow all the time.
If I we‘re to make The Warning-T-Shirts they would have at least the following quotes: „Welcome to our rabbit hole!“ „You‘re in for a treat!“ „Does it get any better than The Warning?!“ „Where have I freakin‘ been??“ „Whoa, my comment section just exploded!“ 😂🤘
As long as you are doing double shots of The Warning, don't leave this one out. Dust to Dust, sung by Paulina. The first one should be live at Lunario from November, 2018. They introduced their second album, Queen of the Murder Scene, at this concert when they were 18, 16, and 13 years old. The second one should be live at the Metropolitan, which was released a few days ago. Both are great.
I have a feeling that you are going to be repeating your line of "This is my favorite yet." The Warning catalog is deep and impressive. It is going to be a joy watching you discover the depth of talent inside these young ladies. If you ever get the chance to see them live do yourself a favor and grasp that opportunity. I would suggest springing for the Meet & Greet tickets because you will never meet nicer souls and I guarantee you they will treat you like family. The Warning Army loves them because they really do return that love to their fans,
Artists that don’t need any enhancements playing live will always get my attention. The 3 sisters are never pitchy, they don’t play a pitch/step down live, they are very energetic and charismatic, and their songs are just awesome. Best band to resurrect Rock. They came. They rocked. They conquered.
Studio takes of The Warning songs are great but a well recorded concert numbers are beyond the scale. Especially everything recorded during last three years.
David Bendeth did a fantastic job of capturing the power and presence of Dany's voice and then leaving it as raw as possible - no distracting BS to make her voice sound bigger than it already is, and no subtle fixes to smooth out her emotional quirks. One of the finest vocal tracks I've heard in a long time.
Fun facts, as Paulina likes to say - the OMV is shot inside a box built for this video, painted and wired for the LED lights. Also, take a close look at Pau's (the drummer) outfit. The silver running down the sleeves and around the collar are safety pins. Her outfit looked too plain, so they spent some time punching safety pins through it to brighten it up.
During a Spanish language interview The Warning commented that Ale was suffering from vertigo during the filming of the OMV. She was still recovering from having wisdom teeth removed. It certainly wasn't noticeable to me but Ale has always been a trooper. The Warning REACCIONÓ a sus comentarios en el video oficial de CHOKE (Subtitles in ENGLISH)
Pau has been a drummer since she was 6. At 10 she recorded an incredible video that showcases her talent ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MUAhV8K-v3A.html. Ale doesn’t like singing lead but… she does on this song live and the outro of Survive (with Pau doing backup). She also does sing lead on special occasions or when Dany and Pau are unable such as when they get sick. Every Warning fan says that their favorite song is the last one they heard.
It's not their first video! Far from it. Check them out at ages 9, 11, and 13. Start with Pau belting out AC/DC's "Back in Black". Then there's their four-song set of covers from their very first live performance, outdoors one evening in December 2013, for which they had to come up with a name for their band! They covered Muse's "Hysteria", Katy Perry's "Roar", Lady Gaga's "Born This Way", and Guns N' Roses's "Sweet Child O' Mine". I hope you'll check out those earliest videos of theirs!!
If you try a multi shot of Narcisista, you’ll have some choices to make. There’s an epic version live in CDMX, their last song before COVID. Another at Lunario (?). Then, Pau singing untethered with Arejay Hale playing drums, then at Teatro Metropolitan with Beto Ramos drumming. And another, most recently, with Cachi the guitar tech, an accomplished drummer himself, drumming. I’m sure that others here will have great suggestions.
I’m sure it’s been said already but let me add my opinion that this ENTIRE concert (Teatro metropolitan) is next-level epic. Performance, mix, light show, crowd, everything.
Dany is doing an ascending belt up to a D5 in the chorus (according to a vocal coach). She also has a bit of a natural hammer vibrato that sounds really good. She actually has a very wide vocal range.
Welcome to TWA!! No turning back now... I believe The Warning are always better live. Dust to Dust was just released....same show...you will have another favorite The Warning song!
They sound so good live! They set the bar so high. It's hard for me to enjoy and appreciate other new bands with overused backing vocal track, autotune etc...🤘
You said it right my man....where have you been...😁😁😁😁I am a metal/rock head from the 60's 70's 80's and so on and now have a new favorite band with 3 Mexican sisters at the helm...rock/metal is alive and well with these super talented young ladies. Every single song from this Teatro Metropolitan concert are freaking fabulous...the video production, the exquisite sound mixing.....well all of it is superb. Welcome to the Army!!!!
Hey Carl. I just clipped Pau's scream from Evolve when I saw them in New Orleans on May 16. I zoomed in for the scream. ru-vid.comUgkxsiuessmWhp6Z2J4-JNG5OO_QLbKCE0Vx
Ive watched each reaction to The Warning since you started a few days back and I could tell you were enjoying them more and more with each video. And then in the middle of that live Choke video it happened. That same thing that happened to all of us in TWA. That moment when you went all in....head bopping, arms flailing...realizing how have I not heard of these incredible sisters that just blow your mind song after song after song. Welcome, to being a part of this wonderful family these ladies have created. Its always fun to see it happen.
I'm going to try to catch the livestream but I'm traveling and in London so will get up at 3:00 AM to hear part of it anyway. Why? Because that's the way we roll around here 😅😅😅
I will be watching the live stream tonight just to watch your reaction. Queen of the Murder Scene is my all time favorite album from beginning to end. I recently started getting a series of QOTHMS inspired tattoos.
TWA NE UK Cmd Ops Salutes you once again. Please continue to execute your mission. Your operational success to this point will be mentioned in dispatches
Since they released the official video for "Choke" it was clear it would be epic "live". Dany shows off her best vocal skills and they all look spectacular. This is natural, they are the best, period! Thank you for sharing your great reaction. Cheers... from México.
I love the beginning of the studio version as Dany is singing - her face goes from doe-eyed innocence to dark and twisted in a heartbeat! hehe Oh and welcome to The Warning rabbit hole! I've been in free-fall into it about a week longer than you have, and still falling! hehe Enjoy the ride! Oh, and kewl logo, I like the dude!
That little punch in the face at the end of the live version...sweet! I just discovered them recently too, awesome fresh rock from a tight 6 part group...3 parts incredible talent and precision and 3 instruments of awesomeness played by those 3 parts of incredible talent. This is what the music scene really needs, actual music played on real music without all the overprocessing BS like that nasty auto-tune...Dany is a laser guided missile with her vocal attack as is Pau and both are highly proficient with the guitar and drums respectively and then you have Ala's deadly accurate bass line anchoring it all. Let's just say that quite a bit of their music now resides in my iTunes library on my iPhone and I bought three of their albums on those things called Compact Discs....folks, good music is worth paying for and this certainly qualifies.
The small lead part that Ale sings in the live version was sung by Dany in the studio. When they are live Dany is still finishing her part when Ale starts. You can do both in the studio, but not live.
I don’t think the vocals actually overlap, but this part is so much lower than the preceding phrase so it is a hard transition. Ale’s voice is excellent in the low register, but I don’t think she can go nearly as high as Dany.
@@markjames8664 Ale does sing high harmony falsetto in Sinister Smiles, but I agree that her low register, with that smoky tone, is where she excels. She sounds much more confident in more recent performances of this, and has developed real character in her voice. When Ale had the flu in Canada, Dany sung those lines, but the first time she had to leave out the first line and the next night she managed to leave out just the first two words, but that quick of a transition isn't easy.
Welcome to the quickly growing TWA. They are awesome live. I have seen them 3 times and I want MORE. Here is a short clip of Pau's scream in Evolve. ru-vid.comUgkxsiuessmWhp6Z2J4-JNG5OO_QLbKCE0Vx
Here's some good advice: their second (concept) album "Queen of the murder scene" from song 1 up to song 13. You can find the live version of the whole album by searching "The Warning Lunario CDMX"... You won't be disappointed
Long life TW!!
yeah. soon, though they won't even use autotune. They won't even bother to sing at all. They'll just have AI do it for them and then take all the credit.
For me personally i see this band the warning as a variety rock type of genre that they have on their catalogue, check up all their song and you see what im trying to say.. but they definitely kick ass doing hard rock!! 🤘
Great reaction, just want to make one coment, please don't take it wrong, with all due respect, they are not the future of Rock, THEY ARE THE PRESENT OF ROCK!!!! keep'em coming, greetings from Mexico!!!
El rock de TW es un rock clasico pero moderno excelentes riff y distorsiones y grandes mensajes ,el mejor grupo de rock en vivo , solo ve y escucha CHOKE una muestra
remember they are from mexico where they read notes Do Re Mi, when they attended Berkley they had to relearn notes A B C D E. they have combined both worlds, and I hear some mexican influence in their sound as well. Pau talks about it in her masterclass video. Where is evenecance now. first album was very good but then the original members broke up and it went to shit
