My biggest FEAR at community college

I tell you guys that community community itself is easy...
And it's true.. CC is easy because it's straightforward...
But just because something is "easy"... doesn't mean that everyone will do well...
My theory still stands... 70% will not transfer "well"... while the 30% will transfer "well"...
So what is the common characteristic of the 30%...?
Well.. I'd say it's having the ability to MOTIVATE YOURSELF... when times are hard...
And by Motivation... I'm not talking about for 1 week.. or 1 month.. or 6 months... I'm talking about FOR YOUR ENTIRE CC JOURNEY...
So where did I find my motivation?
What motivated me to continue working hard at CC even when times were tough...?
I'll tell you right now...

Hey, I'm only 13 years old and I think this concept is pretty cool. I have two cousins that went to CC and both transferred to UC Berkeley. I'm going into high school next year and I'll definitely do more research on this. Keep up the good content!

Im currently im my first year in CC and i’ve been looking at potential transfer schools after my 2 years. Ik the universal advice is not to blindly listen to your counselor & research on your own time. My CC’s website has this state wide transfer sheet that specifies what CC credits transfer to what Uni class. Can I depend on this transfer sheet or should i contact the Uni’s directly. Love your content!

Ya check the articulation transfer sheet .. they’re usually accurate .. if u wanna double check then you can call the schools directly too

This was literally my biggest fear as well. I thrive off of social life and having the right friends... It's so hard to have motivation, im even considering moving away to attend a more competitive community college

Bro honestly I love ur vids and they real help a lot. I had one question tho: do you think it’s possible to transfer to a private school such as Stanford. I heard the transfer rate is low but do you think it’s still possible thanks!
@KRHEE
@KRHEE 4 года назад
Yea it’s possible .. but def harder than UCs for sure.. low margin of error for getting into STANFORD

As a first year student at cc I’ll tell all of you high school guys to study hard and apply to as many good unis as you can cuz cc’s environment really sucks I could’ve get into a cal state university as a hs senior but I decided going to cc to transfer to more prestigious unis now I really regret that I didn’t apply cal states as a hs student

Hello, just found your channel and love your perspective on us cc kids. I was not a very good high school student due to family problems and being in and out of group homes. I went to around 10 different high schools during my 4 years. I started going to cc in fall 2019, and am still there due to me taking reduced course load and being a disabled student. My first years was rough and COVID pandemic was able to give me time to rethink my life and what I wanted out of it. I am currently still at CC, but I am close to a 3.8 (3.754) and became part of the TAP program from Berkeley and am going to be taking a summer course there this summer. I plan to apply for transfer to Berkeley this fall and being part of the TAP will hopefully get me in. I found myself at cc and hear other cc stories and there are similar, but my cc was a little better than most I’ve heard. I’ve heard you talk about the cc atmosphere an how it can not be good because certain people do not take it seriously. This is so true. I went to the CSUMB library cause I live near by and the vibe was completely different. I finished a paper draft in one sitting and completely forgot to play music through my headphones. It’s a different vibe and hopefully when taking the class Berkeley this summer, I will be feeling that vibe and give me confidence and motivation to do well. TLDR: I’ve been at CC since 2019 and it was tough at first but I am doing better now with a 3.7 gpa. I am part of Berkeley Tap and will take a summer course there this summer. You were able to put CC experience better than anyone I’ve seen on RU-vid. Thank you.

High school junior here! unfortunately for me, I've realized that I'm not likely to be accepted into any of my dream schools....or any collage at all, for that matter. I honestly thought all hope was lost until I came across your channel. These videos have been a godsend, I cannot truly articulate how helpful this channel is! thank you so much for your work. Hopefully I'll have it all internalized come my first semester at CC. Here's an odd tidbit, I'm planning to transfer to an art school, which requires a fully developed portfolio. I guess an upside of taking this route is having more time to add pieces, especially considering that my current portfolio is VERY weak. And again, thanks for the great content. I hope you're doing alright in the world.

I’ve been watching you and various others to prepare for my journey to community college and I’ve learned so much. I am a habitual weed smoker so I did get a chuckle out of the fear of becoming like your peers but I’m well aware the stigma attached. It’s preferable to alcohol but I am not saying we should subscribe to either. Anyways thank you for the content I do appreciate it
